So this week begins the countdown to the end of the season. Very minimal fitness issues. 1 game at a time. Tottenham next. YNWA....

Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Milner, Mane, Salah, Firmino.

Back to what Klopp trusts best. Hopefully energy for gengenpressing. Midfield have to stay strong. Enjoy the game folks. I would be watching on DVR later. Church Tins.. best of luck to us. YNWA.....

What a game!

Spurs truly pushed us...
Form is temporary; Class is Permanent!
Liverpool, European Champions 2005.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

Salah needs to get acquainted with the bench for the next few games. The guy was just terrible today. Never seen a top rated player play so badly. To imagine that last season people were comparing him to Messi?

You guys were left off the hook by Spurs.

Had multiple chances to have finished you guys off.

In other climes, fans would have arranged a beating for them. :curse:

Spurs were fantastic in the 2nd half. Sissoko should have buried that chance but it was SUPERB defending from VVD to force him into shooting rather than passing.

You gotta be kidding me!

All he's not doing is score, but he has MASSIVE influence on how the opponent plays the game...

That piece of defending is one for the history books.

But Liverpool concede goals from an overconfidence in the defence..

True..

Lost our way in 2HF and stopped doing the things that led to total domination in first half.

Which is why I thought the changes in MF in 2hf came a little late...

I think many of us give too little credit to the trio of Gini, Hendo and Milner and what they bring to the game, besides their work rate...

Perhaps. I was crying out for Fabinho at least 10 mins before the equaliser.

i still think the qualities they don't bring outweigh what they contribute.

There are different ways to play the game. They control the MF territorially, GAME AFTER GAME...Even against Bayern and against City over 3 games last season and one game this season....

I love the technical control in MF, but I also have a healthy respect for an approach based on the counterpress. Liverpool ae the best team in Europe on the counterpress....

You have to use what you have; at least until the likes of Keita get fully bedded in...

Klopp almost lost this one.

He has to know when momentum was shifting...

They were stretched out of shape. Lucky thing that the chances didn't fall to the Totoham players who have the ability to finish.

This game could be one that one the league for them... in previous years, they would've found a way to lose it.

Shows strength of character.

But Totoham deserves a beating sha.
