Hopefully we get
man city vs barca
Porto vs Ajax
Juve vs spurs, time for spurs to revenge.lol
Pool vs manu...
Then semi we likely get
Ajax
City
Pool
Spurs
Then final we get Ajax vs pool.
Man City will get whichever is the easier draw.

So either Porto or Man United.

What a wonderful mature performance. A lot of nervousness early but game was controlled. Bummer was Robertson with the yellow. YNWA....

Yeah, will love to avoid Barca and Juv for now. Hopefully not city either. Don’t mind any of the other 4.
But it is the 1/4 final so expect any team and go for it.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. Liverpool defenders are the best passers of the ball. They can pass from way deep. I think Matip has been excellent since his return to the team.

That "penalty" decision for the first Barca goal was utterly despicable. Suarez stood on Denayer's foot. If any decision should have been given, it was a foul by Suarez on Denayer! Lyon should have had a FK. How on earth did the VAR not see that?

True, but how can any human (with eyes and a brain) interpret a forward stamping on a defenders foot as a "foul" by the defender? This is nearly as bad as the invisible "tackle" on Casemiro that gave them a VAR assisted "penalty" against Levante.

Good draw for us. Can’t take Porto lightly. City play spurs 3 times so hopefully city drops points in the league City are well rested though. They have had the easiest draws in all the cup comped so far and have had a chance to rotate. But tough to beat Tottenham 3 games in a row. 1 game at a time for us. Good thing is we play Southampton Friday prior. Hope no injuries with international break. April will be an interesting month. YNWA....

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Lallana, Mane, Salah, Firmino

Subs: Mignolet, Lovren, Milner, Sturridge, Moreno, Shaqiri, Origi

Same team that beat Burnley. Again good midfield display will win it. Let’s go get em. YNWA.....

Team is a little leggy today. Mane and VVD playing well. Matip too. Lallana running into guys and Trent disappointing. Probably should take Fabinho off 2nd half. Can’t risk that red.

Salah should have come off earlier. He is not sharp, and he is giving up the ball too easily. I was not confident when Mane put him through, and sure enough, he fluffed it.

Today, we saw Virgil Van Dijk's first serious error all season, though some of it can be blamed on Milner's miskick, and Alisson failing to go for the ball with his hands. Liverpool looked tired today, and only Mane and Robertson were buzzing with energy. Mane could have scored more than one, especially with that good header that bounced off the crossbar.

European nights does take something off of you. Hopefully learn from this and navigate the coming weeks better. Salah needs to realize he wasn’t a striker when he scored all those goals. I think he is trying too hard. Still works hard for the team though.
