Dier is injured. Kane and Alli look as if they will play full 90. While other clubs were withdrawing their players - we kept ours in. Merde!!

11 - GOAAALLLL!

The first goal at #SpursNewStadium is scored by J'Neil Bennett, who tucks a neat strike beyond the goalkeeper and into the bottom corner.

Boys won 3-1. Good to see them in it. First team guys can decide whether they want to be Spurs or not.

feel so bad for Poch. he wanted the Madrid or United job, and neither wanted him. Now he is stuck at a club that will never win. ,Maybe PSG will consider him. He has a past there.

Case in point. Shaw and Rashford pulled out of England duty. Guess who look fresh today.

1st of 2 tough games left in the season. Heading to Anfield to take on the team fighting tooth and nail for the league title. Ordinarily one would have given Liverpool this match without a second thought but there is so much at stake that it is going to be a hard call to make. Spurs are on fighting for the survival of their top 4 credentials and have a lot of pride at stake to redeem themselves from the poor run of form of late.

The international break did not exactly help Spurs out. We had injury to Dier and Winks meaning our midfield will be tested greatly.

Liverpool is going to play this match at high octane pace as they are accustomed to. They will put Spurs under so much pressure in the initial stages of the match. The key is for Spurs to remain compact and not concede. If they can weather the storm we have enough players to get behind their solid wall and give them something to think about.

For me it has to be 3 at the back rather than 4 simply because the midfield will be able to support the defense at the same time it gives the team room to counter attack. Going with a flat 4 means we will be giving Pool the encouragement to attack at will.

My team for the day will be:

      • Kane
    • Dele * Son

Rose * Eriksen * Sissoko * Trippier
  • Jan * Sanchez * Toby
      • Lloris

The rightback position is going to be difficult call to make as it is a choice of the 3 least capable defenders. Dele made a massive difference in Spurs' play when he started against Southampton. His presence gave others the freedom to play with confidence knowing he will be there to clean up any mess left behind. Once he got subbed the team literally fell apart. Danny should be sufficiently rested to start today ahead of Davies.

It is going to be a cracker today and hope we can take revenge for the undeserved loss in the first round. COYS!!!

Good luck boys. Believe and let's get something from this game. Not a happy hunting ground for us in the past but that can be broken.
