What is he supposed to learn? Sell or buy himself? If nobody is willing to buy, best thing is to go on loan. Playing in Spain is definitely an upgrade compare to playing in Turkey.

No one said anything about playing for those teams, he should have requested a transfer by now it's clear they have no plans for him other than to loan him to a different team each year affecting both his playing time and consistency.

Transfer to where? Which team would be willing to pay his transfer fee and then take on his current wages for 4-5 years? Abi you want him to take a pay cut? His best move would be to see out his contract and leave on a free and in the mean time ball out on your loan spells to attract a suitor that will be willing to take him after his contract is done.

Going out on loan is good for him if he takes on the challenge and perform excellently to force Chelsea's hands. See Christensen for example. He is back at Chelsea and getting games.

Unless you prefer Chelsea cutting ties with him.

His contract wasn't for 4 years it was due to expire in 2019 before he signed an extension, also it's not like Chelsea would have requested 15 mill for him.

I actually prefer they cut ties with him. Christensen is three years younger, played a couple games before he went on a single two season loan, this is Kenneth's sixth loan and he has no apps for Chelsea. He joined at the team before Eden Hazard and in the same window as Gary Cahill for comparison. These loans aren't to gauge his talent they are to keep him around incase he can generate some value.

I wouldn't have signed an extension, but maybe bobo doesn't believe in himself like you do so he took the guaranteed money than betting on himself to find a good home on a free.

If he turns into Beckenbauer or Baresi or even Cahill over the season then the loan would have paid off well. They most likely are not expecting that or even planning on it at this point, his future is 95% sealed and this loaning business is to delay the inevitable. You're a Chelsea fan, when you're looking at your team for the season where does Omerou fit into those plans?

Chelsea had Kalas, Omeruo, Zouma, Christensson and Alampadu, what did they do when they needed a center half...they signed Rudiger. That says it all!

..yet still the Naija diehards (aka dunderheads) still believe one day one day Omeruo shall rise and play for Chelsea :laugh:
This is his fifth loan spell from Chelsea after time at ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough, Kasimpasa (twice) and Alanyaspor.
None of those clubs wanted to make it a permanent deal says a lot;

Chelsea is not a club for youth players.Chelsea has more players on loan than any other club.
All this is because he is African,

You are not making much sense. If they have no plans for him, then they would have released him out right.
The fact that he is sent on loan means they still rate him but have no room for him yet.

This loan spell to Leganes is actually a huge step in the right direction for Kenneth (assuming he breaks into the 1st team). He gets to play in La Liga,...the best league in the world, and in the process learn from playing against some of the best teams and players in Europe. In addition, he is playing in Madrid, meaning if he shines, he gets seen by some of the biggest clubs.

The rest is up to him now. He should just do his business, learn Spanish a enjoy that Mediterranean sunshine while he can.
