Nigeria's possible 35-man squad for ANC 2019 (weekly update)
I wish to create a thread where we can follow, in one combined thread, the club-progress of the squad which will eventually take Nigeria to Cameroon. I have included the top 35 players who I think will eventually make the final 23-man squad, barring some serious injuries or someone coming in at the death (a la Simy Nwankwo for the World Cup). Any mistakes or omissions, please let me know. PLEASE DON'T TURN THIS THREAD INTO CHILDISH BICKERING - It was one of the reasons why I left this forum after many years.
I will be updating the players' progress beside their name with the last 5 games in their respective leagues with the following:
90 (Number of minutes played)
BE (on the bench but did not play)
INJ (Injured)
ABS (Not in squad for technical reasons),
SUS (Suspended).
This is the squad, as well as some others to look out for.
Updated with league progress as at Tuesday 28th August

Wale, let’s see if he keeps it up. Thanks for the heads up. I plan to amend the squad as we go along as a season is very long in football.wale1974 wrote:https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/5732/Sh ... alatyaspor

Thanks Bro.
Notice Awoniyi's minutes are going down. He has the ability but he needs some education...
Bro also add Adeleke Akinyemi to the list. He plays in Belgium but Rohr really liked him when he played against Bordeaux in the Europa league.

The title of this post makes it fake news. It suggests that that this is the official 35-man squad for the campaign. Obviously, it is not therefore, it is imperative that you change the title. Mods,?please take note
Cheers.
Cheers.

Tony, I know there are some chumps on this forum but if anyone believes that the official list for next year’s ANC is out already, he should be removed from in front of the PC and sent to watch re-runs on Baby TV.

Niyi, I will do so next week and check his playing times.niyi wrote:Thanks Bro.

So 9ja is going to qualify for Cameroon 2019, with a ban looming, Vic Mo retired, and after stinking up the WC?

Ezenwa is not playing due to the NFF crisis. The league is currently suspended. Afelokhai started the last game for Enyimba. They went to Mali and won by 1-0.
Uzoho injury concerns.
We may have a goalkeepers crisis.

The GK cupboard is very bare right now. What about Osigwe as an option?
I also think Sincere Seth should be a (back-up) option an RB. He is a team mate of Azubuike and has been playing in the first 11 (including in their victory over Fenerbahce a few days ago).

Seedorf has dropped all Cameroon China based players. Rohr should do the same. Also drop all Saudi Arabia based players.
