August playing time (league) for Top-50 Nigerians

Post by Paveman »

I wish to create a thread where we can follow, in one combined thread, the club-progress of the squad which will eventually take Nigeria to Cameroon. I have included the top 50 players who I think will eventually make the final 23-man squad, barring some serious injuries or someone coming in at the death (a la Simy Nwankwo for the World Cup). Any mistakes or omissions, please let me know.

I will be updating the players' progress in their respective leagues, beside their name, with the following:
90 (Number of minutes played)
BE (on the bench but did not play)
INJ (Injured)
ABS (Not in squad for technical reasons),
SUS (Suspended).

Numbers are from left to right, so the last game is always the number most right.

This is the squad, as well as some others to look out for.

Wanajo, a good number on that list are nowhere near SE material, but in my opinion, if they have a good season with their club, they deserve to get a look in. I plan to chop and change the list as we go along, depending on playing time etc. It’s one thing to be on the bench for an EPL, La Liga or Serie A team, and another to be on the bench for a Swiss team. The only notable (and worrying) department is the goalkeeping area as there are no keepers getting playing time in a top quality club. Hopefully Uzoho will take his place in the starting XI at Elche.

To keep everything condensed in one place, it may make sense to add that to this thread:
