Nigeria will not win the Nations Cup

Post by highbury »

I hope I am wrong, but I am quite confident. Our team isn't that good. I am sure we know that if we are honest with ourselves.
1) Poor Coach. Slow to make changes. We have no Nigerian flair. Gone!!
2) Why he didn't remove Iwobi after the garbage of a game astonished me.
3) Trust me, this Coach is not it. I will support him but I know he ain't the one. You can't tell me that Siasia can't do better.
4) At best Nigeria will make Qfinals

We played South Africa in a venue purposefully selected by them due to altitude and crowd support. We were also lacking key midfielders and striker. It also looks like the linesmen were also against us.

A team that has missed 2 back to back anc and you’re placing a minimum target of winning ANC or failure smh win or not, Rohr must continue his good job. This is a football plan and everything will be tackled accordingly

I think Nigeria is one of the favorites to win the nations cup. You don't win the nations cup today. Got to prepare well and play the best football at the later stages of the competition. The Italians were good at doing that.

Daft logic, we were the better team despite playing at second gear... simply undone by poor officiating, and with an inexperienced team we actually qualified for the AFCON after missing out with our so called star players back to back... be grateful.

eh! Thank you. It doesnt matter. Is it our birthright to win it? At least we have qualified. When last did we qualify?

Bros, it's too early to reach such conclusion. For now, please relax and watch.

Very good points raised. If the assertion we will NOT win the AFCON is based on today's game, then bros "Highbury" is wrong

It is easy to say I am wrong. That's fair enough. I don't care what anyone thinks. I know I am not wrong. I wish to be proven wrong though. Mark my words

Bros, but as said by many, do you remember we were missing some of our "first team" players in today's game?

Same was said in 2013. Take one match at a time.

Ndidi and Ighalo. That is a flimsy excuse with all due respect.

No African country can guarantee that they will win the AFCON so you have no point. That said, slow your roll given a lot will change personnel wise between now and June 2019.

If you are that insightful, why not disclose who WILL win it?
Nothing easier than saying we "will not win it", because you have a 23/24 chance of being correct.
So you're not really saying anything worth acknowledging.
