Frankly speaking I hate to be bought into the hype. From the beginning when Kelechi was being extolled to high heavens I had some serious reservations about him . There was no question about it he was a deadly finisher but he lacks the basic qualities of a good striker. He lacked speed and cannot dribble or pull one successful dribbling I knew right there and then it is major constraint to his success. Though at the beginning of his career with Man city it seemed he was going prove me wrong may be because man city's style masked this glaring shortcomings.
Unlike Chukwueze surely Chukwueze can dribble and also some sort of speed. Yet I'm not completely bought into his hype. I have been so much disappointed in Nigerian players as a result of their fast deterioration as soon as they are come to limelight. I'm still waiting to see one to become better after they are noticed.

Very good point, we build them up only to tear them down. And while they are being built up if you give any constructive criticism of their game you are a hater. While they are tearing them down if you say hey give them a chance you become the bad guy standing in the way of the next player they are trying to build up to take the bobos place.

Sincerely speaking I believe Nigerian players do not push themselves to the maximum. They are easily satisfied with little or average accomplishments. Players like Ronaldo and Salah achieved far more than their natural abilities can offer them. There is no question about it they did everything within their reaches to be the best they can be. They are relentless always aspiring to be the best they can be.

OF COURSE, IT'S AN ASSET TO BE DUAL-FOOTED, BUT...

...FWIW, Haruna Ilerika was strictly left-footed but then again one could speculate on what he could have been if he had a working right foot.

That’s why I was vehemently against rohr introducing unknown players at the WC because I know that one bad performance can signal their end at SE. trust me, it had happened in the past and will happen in the future. Nigerian fans are savage
