Agree. But we thank God for this one. Always feel good when we get a W on Cameroun or GhanaPolly wrote:Not really. The Falcons I saw 40 minutes of would stink up the World Cup. I am tired of being African champion and World dishwasher at the same time.Otitokoro wrote:YYYYEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!

The WC is what, 6 months plus away?
The issue with the SF in this particular match was a lack of fitness. In terms of passing play and defensive composure, I was actually very impressed.
In 2015, the Falcons played ZERO friendlies in the 7 months between qualification and the WWC...
So hopefully we will have better preparations for 2019. Nonetheless, the ladies showed MENTAL fitness!

Sometimes, you just need to get there, and we have done so.Polly wrote:Not really. The Falcons I saw 40 minutes of would stink up the World Cup. I am tired of being African champion and World dishwasher at the same time.Otitokoro wrote:YYYYEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!
Hopefully, we get better before the WC.
We definitely have about 3 outfield World Class players.
I know this might be controversial, but I can also confidently say that the current keeper is the best we have ever had. Better than Chiejene, Dede (or what was Robbynice's GF's name) and the immediate past keeper. The only (tiny) flaw she has had in this tourney was not leaving a little space on the near post on the South Afrcian goal. She was technically right in covering the near post, but she should have been a step away from the post.

I am optimistic that this time will be different. Why?
Because as silly as this sounds, Picnick will not want to look bad in front of his Oyingbo coach (Dennerby).

After the shambolic preparations (ZERO games in the entire 2017 calendar year, and 1 official friendly in 2018), this is really some accomplishment (solely by the ladies themselves). Now, having crossed this hurdle, time for the NFF to do the right thing and get the team adequately prepared.

The female local coaches under the same conditions were better for the team than the foreign whites.Gotti wrote:truetalk wrote:Sometimes, you just need to get there, and we have done so.

They passed it well enough in the 1H (and versus Zambia and E. Guinea)...Oguleftie wrote: Falcons cannot pass the ball.
Tired and outplayed for much of the 2H (credit to Cameroon), they still stayed ORGANIZED. Good team!

Re: AWCON Cam 0 Nig 0
I saw the second half. Cameroun had the possession, but it was all huff and puff while we were more calm and collected ...and that's how we officially became Cameroun's Kryptonite in Women's soccer

Re: AWCON Cam 0 Nig 0
Congrats to the girls.
For the next game, they need to do a bit more work on their ball transition in the final third. CMR were effective in stifling our play in regulation time. Playing long and relying on quick runners, made us look a bit too one dimensional.

So the game ended zero a zero?

Our team adopted the Jose Style. End justifies the means. Guess who's going home.
