How many talents come from that region? The most important football regions are Europe, South America and Africa.Undertaker wrote:Anybody watching this tournament? So European clubs couldn't persuade them to move this one to the summer

Most Asian players are "homebased" plus the tournament is every 4 years.

TRue but these countries don't depend solely on European based players They have top Euro based players like Son, Kagawa etc but they also have a huge chunk of players coming from their local leagues. Then you have the likes of Iran, Thailand, China, the Gulf arab countries whose players are mostly based locally. That said why Ahmad chose to push the AFCON in the summer months is beyond me. Makes no sense whatsoever.

Asia had better representation in WC 2018 than Africa, so show some respect, even CONCACAF did better, even head to head between Africa and Asia recently has been one sidedBenedict Iroha wrote:How many talents come from that region? For my sceptical Nigerian Friends : Pessimism is great because you are either always right or pleasantly surprised.
