NIgeria's 2018/19 season Top 10

These are the top Nigerian players so far. if they can remain consistent till the end of the season, theyll be making moves to bigger clubs and would force their way into the CAF top 3 awards next year.

Top 3 players are defensive players.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
10. Joel Obi (Chievo, Serie A): When he is fit, he plays and is consistent with his quality performances.

9. Samuel Chukwueze (Villareal, La Liga) - Broke onto the scene in the Europa, took a little over a month to break into the Laliga team and ever since, he has been a revelation for his club and the hottest kid on the block, scoring, providing assists and entertaining with his deft left foot.

8. Odion Ighalo (Changchun Yatai, China): Was the 2nd highest goalscorer in the league with 20goals though his goals could not save Yatai from relegation.

7. Samuel Kalu (Bordeaux, French Lique 1): Was Handed the Number 10 shirt when he joined Bordeaux. Today, he has started over 90% of the teams game when fit and has been one of the 3 live wires in a team that has had a topsy turvy season. Started Majority of his team's Europa League games.

6. Alex Iwobi (Arsenal, EPL): He has had an interesting season. He either starts, comes from the bench or gets subbed half time (usually for tactical reasons). But 1 thing is clear, when Iwobi plays, Arsenal ticks.

5. Ola Aina (TOrino, Serie A): Joined on loan from Chelsea and in less than 3 games, tied down a starting spot and has given top notch performances in every game.

4. Henry Onyekuru (Galastasaray, Turkey): Henry has proven he can score goals from the left wing and he is doing just that for the Turkish Giants. Had a good run of games in the Champions League though they would continue their campaign in the Europa.

3. Ken Omeruo (Leganes, LaLiga): Got into this team late, started on the bench but the minute he got his chance, he took it and owned it. They've been unbeaten for 9 games and have kept 5 clean sheets all with Omeruo at the center of the pack.

2. Troost Ekong (Udinese, Serie A): Unexpected move from Turkey, he walked right into the first team, grew into the team and league and has been churning out top top performances ever since.

1. Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester, EPL): Baba na Master. See his stats below.

Mentions
These players have done very well in their leagues but missed out due to standard of their league vis-a-vis performance.

1.Sylvester Igboun (FC Ufa, Russia): Best player at Ufa and he has been very consistent. Doubt he woudl remain in Ufa or Russia by the end of the season.
2.Paul Onuachi (FC Midtjylland, Denmark): He returns from nightmarish injury season and so far banged in 11goals in 17 appearances.
3.Victor Osimhen (Chaleroi, Belgium): He came and has been scoring. he is having a wonderful season.
4. Oguenyi Onazi (Trabzonspor, Turkey): Been posting top top performances for his club who are currently 2nd on the league table. But it seems an injury in the last match might rule him out of football till end of the season.
