Weaknesses in the SE:
SE the whole team played as a bunch of individuals. Players did not run into space to create an outlet for team members to pass the ball. There was a lot of standing around with no one running to meet the ball when the ball was approaching them, consequently the Moroccan defense were handed countless opportunities to intercept passes and clear the ball.
SE defense was sluggish and the goal that was scored was as a result of lack of marking. Imagine leaving a striker all by his lonesome in the 18- yard box. He had enough time to receive the pass, control the ball, and pose for photo in tomorrow’s newspaper b/4 scoring the game-winning goal.
SE as a team gave the Moroccans too much time and space. Our players allowed the Moroccan defense/midfield time and space to survey the field and choose at their convenience who best to pass the ball to in order to launch counter attacks.
If these weaknesses are not addressed b/4 the next game then Nigeria will be heading on the next flight home.
