Torino set to pay 10million buy-out clause for Aina
This was in the Turin based Italian newspapers yesterday.
After a blistering (and very unexpected, as Aina was brought in as back-up not as a starter) first season, Torino are set to trigger the option to buy, and make the move from Chelsea permanent. Aina is very happy at the club.

Wing-back in a 3-4-3 3-5-2 formation. Both left and right.
At times he has played as full back in a back four

Also top German and Spanish clubs interested in buying Omeruo from Chelsea.
I am happy
Re: Torino set to pay 10million buy-out clause for Aina
Great news.
I have to be honest, I was already convinced Omeruo's career had plateaued and didn't expect much more from him.
I am so happy to now be proven wrong.
As I've never seen any highlights of him in Spain, I'm going on reports only...and they've almost all been good.
As for Aina.... he should go for it.
Chelsea will come back if they need him.

This is great news. He should do well there.
Also good to hear with Omeruo. Hopefully he finds a permanent home.

This is why it is good for our players to be playing constantly whether they are at a big or small club. Eventually, the cream will rise to the top.Damunk wrote:Great news.

That would be good, he fits into their system and seems to be enjoying his time there. His defense is also improving which bodes well for SE.

It just goes to show the Epl and champship are not what they're made up to be, he was languishing in England waiting for a chance that he was never going to get before joining Torino who now want him for $10m. I hope the likes of Etebo will see this and follow Omeruo and Aina out of that wilderness.

I think Etebo's case is kinda different.EMIR KONGI JAFFI JOFFA wrote:It just goes to show the Epl and champship are not what they're made up to be, he was languishing in England waiting for a chance that he was never going to get before joining Torino who now want him for $10m. Aina is a young player and for some reason the top EPL clubs are just too apprehensive about 'risking' young players.
Maybe its their spending power.
Maybe its the pressure to deliver. So they'd rather just go out and buy ready-made players for serious money.
Aina was a star of the Chelsea youth academy and I believe captained about two of their age-bracket teams.
Same with Solanke who was delivering at every level but hardly got a chance in the first team.
Etebo's case baffles me.
From being quite impressive in Spain to a 'get-stuck-in' EFL side. I watched him play last week and was happy to find he was one of Stoke's better players on the pitch.
Whether they appreciate his type is another matter, but if he is not getting regular games it is not because Stoke is buying superior talent or are risk-averse.

Etebo did very well in Laliga last year, his game is more suited for laliga or France . The Stoke move was not in the best Interest of his game imho.Damunk wrote:I think Etebo's case is kinda different.EMIR KONGI JAFFI JOFFA wrote:It just goes to show the Epl and champship are not what they're made up to be, he was languishing in England waiting for a chance that he was never going to get before joining Torino who now want him for $10m. Re: Torino set to pay 10million buy-out clause for Aina
PaJ, not sure what his contract contains. The papers are saying that as part of the loan from Chelsea to Torino, Torino had secured a deal which would allow them to buy him for 10million at the end of the season. Whether Chelsea have also kept a counter-buy-back clause is not known to me.paj wrote:Buyback clause?
