Birmingham fan Assault Aston Villa player on the Pitch
This is one of the most disgraceful things I have seen on the football pitch. What if the fan had a knife and stabbed the player? The league has to make an example here!
- the game should have been ended immediately, with Birmingham forfeiting
- Birmingham ducked 10 points for inability to protect players
- the fan turned over to the police immediately and charged with assault
- both teams (22 players) immediately beat the fan to a pulp, until he is almost dead.

Apparently, the same player was also kicked by a steward, who was consequently arrested by the Police.
It looks like an organizational problem. Another 10 point deduction for Birmingham.

@Mcal, only a few weeks back, fans of the fine art witnessed one of the most subdued, subordinate, unemotive NLD’s ever. The second city often gives best. ‘Tis unfortunate the lines were crossed, the fans have theirs and should leave the field for the fielders. Unsavoury moment aside, there were some meaty challenges going, a few bookings and more than enough on display to know it was proper.

...agree, proper derby should be 11 v 11 on the field not some 12th man wielding some offensive weapon.Coach wrote:@Mcal, only a few weeks back, fans of the fine art witnessed one of the most subdued, subordinate, unemotive NLD’s ever. Why is this important on CE?

Liverpool, European Champions 2005.
We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

The COWARDLY THUG has been sentenced to 14 days in jail and will pay a $350 fine. Unfortunately, the thug will feel at home there. But thats a start.
Next stop if for Birmingham to receive point deduction and a hefty fine. They need to make an example here so that fans will think 10 times before entering the pitch and clubs will spend money to put of unbreachable security. ZERO DEATH is enough... we cant wait for one person to be murdered and a family torn to shreds before we take action.

Understandable but could easily be abused.danfo driver wrote:The COWARDLY THUG has been sentenced to 14 days in jail and will pay a $350 fine. Unfortunately, the thug will feel at home there. But thats a start.

Said 'fan' could be an imposter.
Said fan could actually be from the 'victim's' team, working to get them an unfair advantage.
Disingenuous, yes. But don't put it past anyone or any group of people.

Birmingham shouldn’t face any punishment, theirs is not control over that in the hearts of men. Of his own volition, he entered the pitch and swung clumsily, for his own reasons. Clubs do not face point deductions when blacks are monkeyed for the full ninety, beaten up in the bars before the games, denied entrance to public transport. Both City and United had fans stabbed, how many points have been deducted? Yes it was a terrible incident, but no worse than what has been accepted by some as part and parcel of the game’s underbelly.
14 days in prison, there are young males doing 3 years in Feltham for throwing punches in the town centre.

KPOM, 14 days is a joke may be 6 months with a fine of 5kdanfo driver wrote:The COWARDLY THUG has been sentenced to 14 days in jail and will pay a $350 fine. Unfortunately, the thug will feel at home there. But thats a start.

I have heard this argument before and I was one of thsoe that actually defended with it. However, yesterday, I thought about it very deeply. The question is: Why is Birmingham receiving point deduction?Damunk wrote:Understandable but could easily be abused.danfo driver wrote:The COWARDLY THUG has been sentenced to 14 days in jail and will pay a $350 fine. If the anwser is: because their fan ran into the pitch, then you are right! It can be abused and they should not receive point deduction.
However, if the anwser is (and for me, this is the actual anwser) --- Birminghan should receive a harsh point deduction and fine because Birmingham failed to provide sufficient security to protect the players on the pitch, then the point deduction and the fine i absolutely accurate!
it doesnt matter who runs on the pitch! It could be Issa Hayatou or even his grand mother! it doesnt matter! The home team has the duty to work with the local police and provide sufficient security for everyone on the pitch and everyone in the stands. They should have their stadium built in a way where it is impossible for anyone to be murdered on the pitch. If they cannot do that, then they should immediately report it to the FA/League, so that the League can move their home games to another stadium that can provide that security! Simple as that!
I know human beings very well. We are waiting for someone to be murdered on the pitch first before we take action! I have never seen a species like ours before! Look at what happened in Ethiopia! Last october a Boeing 737 went down murdering more than 100 people. No one said pim! We waited for another Boeing to go down within 5 months of the last one and murder another 157 people before the FAA in the US is talking about asking Boeing to ground the 737.

Its an assault, they cant change the law for one offense. 14 days isnt out of the ordinary. In the U.S, it ranges. Some states say 90 days, some 180 days, some 6 months and I believe New York has the highest-- up to 1 year.kajifu wrote:KPOM, 14 days is a joke may be 6 months with a fine of 5kdanfo driver wrote:The COWARDLY THUG has been sentenced to 14 days in jail and will pay a $350 fine. Lucky for Grealish that the fan was not carrying a weapon (and lucky for the fan that the stewards got to him before the Villa players could administer a proper gang beatdown on him).
Poetic justice that Grealish scored the winner. Imagine being that fan: he would have received the news that he will be banned from the stadium for life, will go to jail, his team lost, and on top of that, the player he assaulted scored the winning goal.
