Rangers playing long balls meanwhile their forwards are not tall (Aguda, Silas, Ajani). Only Ifeanyi George is tall.

Against the run of play. Free kick to Staxien, weak marking by Rangers, header and goal.

Was it really his fault? The attacker had the freedom of Rangers defence and was standing close to the keeper unmarked. The whole defence switched off.

The 2pm kick-off doesn't seem to have benefitted Rangers. The Tunisians are not more tired.
Now they have a corner.

I noticed the same thing during our match against Etoile..................Anyway, time to concentrate on the League.

Yes oo! If they can win the league, that would be adequate compensation.

1 home win
2 away draws
2 home losses
1 away loss

Not a very good record!

Not exactly.
The Tunisians were using more of their brains by conserving energy, while Rangers were spending energy trying to be on the score board. That means in the dying minutes the Tunisians had more energy that they would have had if they chased Rangers around.
In the 2nd half, a Rangers player walked slowly out to be substituted and the Tunisians sensing that used the time to go to the touchline and start drinking water; the Ref allowed that and at about 3min was wasted.
Sometimes, in the field, you have to use more of the brain to get what you want.

Every defender and midfield defender of Tunisia was taller and much bigger than any Rangers attacker that started the match. Think about that for a second.

But Rangers had to win while the Tunisians could afford to sit back and soak up the pressure.

Brother Zee, talking about the Sfaxien goal, yes the goalie rushed out for it and retreated when he realised he wouldn't get to it, but the goal scorer was totally unmarked. It is possible the goalie may have saved it if he remained on his line but honestly, he had every right to go for the ball and I wouldn't blame him.

Thread owner should update the thread subject to reflect FT score.

Also, I do not know how Rangers contrived to lose that game with all the chances they had. They should have won about 4-1, but missed multiple gilt edged chances.
