This 2019 ANC team is the best Eagles team we have ever had. Yes, here I go again saying it. We have a very healthy mix of good Veterans and some exciting young prospects. This team will hammer the famed 1994 eagles by a score of 4-0.

Coach Rorh has always said winning the African Cup is his dream Championship to win. Actually at his advanced age and this December of his Career, this might be the last and only championship he could possibly win. While I am not a fan of his Coaching, I think he just might be able to pull it off.

His Coaching style works very well against African teams: His Coaching Philosophy is Defense comes first while being conservative on offence. This style works very well against African teams whose primary focus is not strict defense or rigid playing structures . We Just may see Nigeria winning its 4th African Championship.

I expect him to take his tried and tested players. No big surprises on his team list, unless there are last minute injuries.

Goalkeepers (3) :
Francis Uzoho
Ikechukwu Ezenwa
Daniel Akpeyi

Defenders (8) :
William Troost-Ekong
Leon Balogun
Kenneth Omeruo
Chidozie Awaziem
Semi Ajayi
Ola Aina
Shehu Abdullahi
Jamilu Collins

Midfielders(4) :
John Ogu
Oghenekaro Etebo
Wilfred Ndidi
John Mikel Obi

Forwards(8) :
Odion Ighalo
Ahmed Musa
Samuel Kalu
Henry Onyekuru
Alex Iwobi
Victor Osimhen
Kelechi Iheanacho
Paul Onuachu

You've left out the most exciting youngster of all: Samuel Chukwueze

Sure the 1994 team are all middled aged and some are dead.

because Rorh is taking him... the only left footed striker he said...plus Kelechi could rediscover his touch in the championship.

Chukwueze is making the AFCON squad and you can take that to the bank, and I honestly don't see how Ihenacho will make the team if he doesn't get back to form between now and the AFCON season.

For your standby list Simon Moses shouldn't be there cause he's already a regular first 11 player already... don't forget the likes of Azubuike, Okereke, and Ozonwafor.

But our current team played World Cup finalists and didn't lose 8-0.

The 94 team took the World cup finalist in 94 to the brink of elimination(Italy). They didn't go out in the first round. The 94 team is obviously better. Better creative midfielders, better striker. More cohesion, better defense. Not even close.

Having this discussion is an insult to the 94 team.

Come on, are we really comparing Ighalo and Musa to Yekini, Amokachi, Finid, Amunike, Siasia and etcc?

...the '94 team at their peak (CAN in Tunisia and WC in US) they were big and strong at all positions. Today's players are not that muscular like them, may be faster, better tactic learned as the years go by.

Not withstanding the sensational headlines aimed at riling up the gullible, I agree that Rohr has quietly put together a solid team for Nigeria that will be competitive for a long time. With Backstabber Onigbinde being too old to interfere and dealing with baby grandmamma issues, I see Nigeria dominating African soccer for the next several years.

Meanwhile Ghana are going back to recruiting Essien, Abedi Pele, Sammy Kuffour ( my favorite Ghananese player of all time) back to the team.

That 94 team was stacked, underachieved at the world cup. We should have beaten Italy. 2 years later added Kanu Nwankwo, Celestine Babayaro, went to Atlanta and won the Olympic Gold.
