How many CE's have ever seen Jules Bocande in action?

Also, he was a winner and important player at Cameroun 2acn, Olympics winner, top scorer etc clearly Africa best of all time
2) No matter how patriotic you’re, never say Yekini (rip) was better than drogba. Are you mad?? Is your brain ok? Drogba also performed for club and country he was the brainchild of ivc resurgence and unluckily didn’t win An ANC. Clubwise, drogba was voted Chelsea best of all time and is one of the biggest “big game players” of all time. Dude scored in 10 finals as in you have to be mad to say yekini (Rip)was better. Infact, if drogba had peaked at a younger age, he would had been my 1
1) Eto’o
2) Drogba
3) Yekini
4) bocande
Anyone that says otherwise is a lunatic

Bros, Yekini was better than Drogba.

As some of us have said, from a mental point of view, I don’t think anyone was as strong as Drogba. He was a big-game player. Never give up. Never say die. He was the kind of player that could hurt you in the 20th minute or the 94th minute ….when everyone else was busy thinking about the shower.

BUT

…with respect to scoring talent, he was not close to Eto’o or Yekini. I’ll refer you to Mourinho’s telling about why he signed Drogba. It was all about mental toughness and strength. Those are invaluable qualities, but they’re not talent.

Its difficult for any soccer fan who watched Yekini consistently (qualifiers, cup tournaments etc.) between 1985 and 1994 to look at Drogba and think he’s better than Yekini. Yekini was phenomenal.
A soccer player’s destiny is somewhat out of his hands. If you manage to find the right club & manager at the right time, you can conquer the world. That’s why I can’t just look at trophies and say this guy is better than that guy.
I personally think that talent-wise, there are maybe 6-7 African strikers that are arguably as good as Drogba. But Eto’o and Yekini to me are a step above.

Etoo, Etoo
Drogba

Yekini outside of Nigerias performances at world cup I never saw in any other action but I remember him as Emile Heskey, Lukaku bulldozing awkward type. If I'm wrong forgive me I was young :D

Bocande a few games too but he was a big name when I was young

Eto'o had the support cast and complement of quality service. Apart from when Amuneke, Finidi Okocha and Oliseh came on board doubt Yekini had same level of support in the National team and club and he banged in the goals for all those average teams from Portugal to Spain.
Yekini ,Eto'o then Drogba for me.
Most of the teams Eto'o on played post 2004 were average yet he still produced.
Inter , Chelsea and the Russian millionaire club?
I was talking international but if we want to talk club, none of those guys could have balled for Barcelona like he did. Even before then he was balling out for Mallorca.

Bushboy's bushmen : 1.Isaac Success 2. Terem Moffi 3. Victor Boniface 4. Samuel Omorodion. 5. Samson Tijani. 6. Rafiu Durosinmi.

If you only watched Yekini in the 94 WC then you missed him at his best. He probably runs Drogba closer than some would think.

For me, however, Weah's the man, even though he ain't on the list.

I can see why you went with Eto and agree that he's is the most complete forward on the list particularly in open play. He also had the ability to play on the wings. I would go with Drogba though simply because he was one of the best I've seen at playing with his back to goal and using his strength. He didn't have the ball skills of Eto, but he was just as deadly as Eto in terms of finishing. You could pretty much boot the ball to Drogba from deep and he would bring the ball down and find an open man or create a chance out of nothing. Chelsea looked like such an ordinary team when Drogba was not on the field.

Bocande was a great player, but Weah should be the 4th guy on this list. I would even rank Tony Yeboah ahead of Bocande.

Over Et'oo? Just asking. What exactly did Drogba do better than Et'oo? Et'oo like Drogba and was lethal both at club and NT levels. Then he could actually ball in the open field and that was never Drogba's forte.

Drogba...Striker of the ball with both legs and a headmaster with his headers! Complete package.

Wake me up if Etoo can score a goal like this:

honestly, I am not sure why people are rating Eto so highly. I watched him play through out his career or most of it, he was nothing exceptional. He was fortunate to have had opportunities most african players did not have. I rate Roger Miller higher than Eto. Eto scored more goals, but he was no better than Kanu, if Kanu had not had heart issues, Eto would be carrying his bags.

Drogba all day, every day; the one man wrecking crew.

In short the thread is an insult to Weah, Roger Miller, Drogba. Yekini (RIP), who?
