This is Brighton. They need consolidation before going for the jugular. They are not Leicester, Wolves, Burnley ... They have no experience at this level.
So you think Chris that was very close to relegation is consolidation? They regressed from last season

Because they’re Brighton, theirs must be the dogfight till the death? Perhaps aspirations are beyond such mediocrity. According to various sources, Hughton spent £77m in 2018/19. Ridiculous.

What was quality of squad before spend? IT is not as if Brighton could buy or bought guaranteed quality.

The same quality that got them respectability last season. We cannot say Brighton should not be ambitious. Clubs like Brighton to come back to the EPL at first or second attempt after relegation. They tend to sink further.

We are looking st it from a black coach and race perspective. Brighton are looking st it from a business decision

From a business perspective and football is every bit a business, 77m spent, only to regress. He had to go.

Not part of this racism talk. I am focusing on the quality of Brighton's decision to hire Potter and fire Hughton. I am not convinced that Potter is better than Hughton.

They will soon find out. When people try and jump out of the frying pan, they don't always land in water.

@Cris, if Cardiff can sign Emiliano Sala (ill fated, RIP), then tis fair to say, the allure of the Premier league alone, plays heavily of the minds of many. With 77m worth of investment, Hughton took them to the brink, from a business perspective, of which BHA are just that, he couldn’t go soon enough. Who amongst the many here, if chair of an organisation, would entrust another season to such returns? Tis beyonf survival, Hughton’s Brighton were dying and survived solely because there are few worse than Warnock.
