What Now For Nacho?

The young man has obviously being dealt a huge blow with the his omission from the AFCON team. Just a year ago he was one for the future. The SE was his and the potential was endless.

What should he do now?

1,Is it best for him to stay at Leicester and hope to regain his form and regular time?
2,Should he seek a move to another Epl club where he can get more playing time?
3,Will a move to Spain, Turkey or France be a better option?

Imho, He needs to go to Spain or France, Turkey if he must. We cannot afford to let him go the way of Pius Ikedia. NFF must help him in all ways possible. He is still a prodigious talent that we must develope.

Only Ihenacho can help himself not any NFF or special programs... this is the critical stage in a players career when TALENT and nothing more brings into credibility the belief that "form is temporary but class is permanent."

Actually this is the SE lose not his....

Time to go on holiday. Refresh and start the preseason on fire - no SE and AFCON to worry about. This for him is a blessing in disguise.

NFF should help him regain his form?? How and why? Naija people sef!...Loss of form is a normal thing. He needs to be disciplined, train more and be focused that is why he is a professional footballer. It is not the end of the world.

It is not the responsibility of NFF to help him regain his form, that is between him and his club. He has a good contract and a good club, it is up to him to buckle down and work his arse off.

That he was invited to camp was NFF trying to help him, but obviously his form must have been so bad even Rohr with his penchant for staying loyal to the old guard could not do anything but drop him. It is moments like this you appreciate the foreign coach, they will call it like it is.

Let him use the holiday to ask himself questions as well as reflect on what he needs to do next season. He needs to ask if he needs to ask for a move or take a loan move to where he would play regularly.

Losing form is not a crime, not getting back up is the crime.

As a Liverpool fan, I’m still upset at that miss against City. He’s been poor recently. We shouldn’t go on past reputation. He should step up his training.

He should hand in a transfer request. Keep your head up, work hard. Things will work out.

Not the end of the road. He has shown flashes of brilliance at senior level; club and country. But now has been shipped out of Man City, benched at Leicester, cut from Eagles. All these guys can’t be wrong. He has talent and just needs to rediscover it. Only up to him. He is young

If Arsenal can sign him for about 5 MP and then loan him out to a French club. It would be a low risk, high reward move for Arsenal.

He should go play in the Championship and regain his form. He was the poorest striker in the EPL last season.

Move to a slow pace league................EPL is not by force.

Look at Ighalo and Musa.

Still don't get how he went downhill so fast. Remember the season with Pellegrini at City. He should go start all over out of the limelight maybe at Turkey or a French middle table team and build his confidence from there. Seems to be a player that thrives on confidence.

While I agree with your thesis, he did not look out of place/pace when he burst onto the scene with City. Something has gone awry with his physical and mental conditioning

I am hopeful that this snub is exactly what he needs to reset himself and figure out what he wants out of his career. Get a good summer rest and come back ready to fight in preseason

The emergence of strikers like Osimhen, Onuachu, Okereke, Onyekuru and even Awoniyi means he has a hard job getting his place back in the SE.
All these strikers are expected to move to major leagues this summer and if they click for their clubs, it could signal the end of Nacho's time in the SE.

 How many of those can place a free-kick as beautifully as Nacho?

I hope Awoniyi comes through
