Re: SE 11 v GUINEA
Guinea had a great pedigree in african football sometime ago.
In fact years ago based on that pedigree, many analysts will be thankful for a draw.
Guinea has produced many outstanding players.
Paul Pogba is from Guinea.
This should be an interesting test for the SE.
Beating them will tell us a lot about how far we will go in this CAN.

Akpeyi is the devil (goalkeeper) we know... he plays
Backline picks itself
Mikel captain plays against Guinea...Ndidi
Chukwueze......Iwobi.........Musa ( aLthough I would like Onyekuru here)
Ighalo...(scored but I would rather see a Musa start upfront)
Oshimen should start against Madagascar.....

Re: SE 11 v GUINEA
this looks more like the line up Omeru in place of Balogun. not sure if Kalu will take part again in this Afcon- Mikel can always come on for Etebo.kali wrote:Akpeyi

we have to play this game with correct sense - the game is 3.30pm in the heat. got to be careful and not blow out before 60mins
Re: SE 11 v GUINEA
Disparate eras. Their defense were atrocious against Madagascar and they were lucky to have equalized. We need to beat them, convincingly too!Goldleaf wrote:Guinea had a great pedigree in african football sometime ago.

How I think Rohr will start
Akpeyi
Aina, Troost, Omeruo, Collins
Etebo, Ndidi,
Chukwueze, Iwobi, Musa
Ighalo
How I would start against Guinea (based on how Guinea play)
Akpeyi
Aina, Troost, Omeruo, Collins
Etebo, Ndidi,
Chukwueze, Iwobi, Musa
Onyekuru
I think we can forego a large striker upfront.
Bring on Ighalo or Onuachu if things go wrong. But I think we can take the game to Guinea with lightning fast counterattacks as their midfield has trouble tracking back. I would wait for Guinea to attack us and then hit them on the counter.
