It is common knowledge Akpeyi is a frighten goal keeper yet you continued to select him for the national team. If it was a local coach, they would have accused Rohr of collecting brown evenlope to select Uzoho. There are home based goalkeepers better than Akpeyi. BTW what happened to Emanuel Daniel?

Rohr should have used the past friendlies against Egypt, Seychelles was like a friendlies, Zimbabwe and Senegal to improve the Eagles depth. Instead he gave us limited choices.

This is the real crime here.

Absolutely no reason for the lazy German and his crew not to have looked at and tested other keepers. He was not even at the NPFL Super 6.

We had Nigerian clubs get to the league stages of CAF competitions last season, so things are looking up & the likes of Enyimba, Pillars, Rangers & Lobi are solid sides with good keepers (1 Breda in the mix).

We all did not see much of Uzoho this season. We were tracking him on a weekly basis before the World Cup as Akpeyi is simply not National team level, regardless of whether Rohr decides to make him Captain. We don't know if the lack of action has really affected his form.

What I will say is that we were all very confident when Uzoho & the rest of the guys (Dennis, Okereke & Osimhen) were drafted in to bail the U-23 team from the Libya hole. No one here would have had that confidence if it was Akpeyi (the overaged GK benched by Daniel at teh U-23 level) in goal.
