Why NO WATER BREAKS?

Post by Enugu II »

I was surprised that the match officials did not provide any water break in Nigeria v Guinea even though the temperature was reportedly about 100F. Did CAF not promise to manage the heat in Egypt, following complaints, by using water breaks?e What do you guys think?
The difficulties of statistical thinking describes a puzzling limitation of our mind: our excessive confidence in what we believe we know, and our apparent inability to acknowledge the full extent of our ignorance and the uncertainty of the world we live in. We are prone to overestimate how much we understand about the world and to underestimate the role of chance in events -- Daniel Kahneman (2011), Winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics

This may be a reason for the seeming underperformance of the lads.

Makes you think about the so-called "Fans" talking from the comfort of their homes having a go at the lads. It is absolutely no joke playing in the energy-sapping conditions.

Water break in Africa?

Do those Bedouins crossing the Sahara ask for an oasis to be placed along the route?

Nonsense and ingredients!

Liverpool, European Champions 2005.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

There is no 'water break' because CAF is waiting for FIFA to instruct it on what to do about water-breaks during the games. CAF is full of 'yeye' people
