British reject wants to be Nigeria gold. After turning down Naija 2017 Tammy appears to be making a U-turn:

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham may have signified interest to represent Nigeria after including the Nigerian flag to his Instagram profile.

The Super Eagles are currently shopping for a capable replacement for Africa Cup of Nations goal king and internationally retired Odion Jude Ighalo. It remains to be seen if the Nigeria Football Federation will turn attention to the youngster after turning down Nigeria in 2017; even after NFF President Amaju Pinnick met with his representatives in London.

Abraham is behind Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford, Danny Welbeck and Callum Wilson in the pecking order in the English national team and may have resolved to try his luck with Nigeria. The Chelsea forward who helped Aston Villa to the Playoff last season has scored 60 goals as a professional Footballer.

So, adding the Nigerian flag to his instagram profile is now definitely a signal that he wants to play for Nigeria? Should the English flag displayed on the same profile also indicate his order of preference - i.e., his first choice is Nigeria but he's still open to playing for England? Let's forget that there might be a multitude of reasons for the young man to desire an association with Nigeria. Mind you, it does not appear that he has said anything indicating such interest. Yet there is a whole article based on complete and nonsensical speculation. How will these guys have any real desire to play for us?

No-one knows for sure but he will def be aware of the reaction to putting the Nigerian flag on his Insta page - much more than the Union Jack.
He's not stupid.
Its like, 'if you're still interested, let's talk'.

The boy simply took advantage of the interest Nigeria showed in him to fast track his getting a call up to the 3 Lions. Gareth Southgate simply reacted to the pressure of losing another promising prospect and capped him in a friendly. Tammy took the bait, got his wish, has made his bed and should be left to lie on it in peace...

Osimhen, Awoniyi, Onyekuru are the next gen. Tammy was flattered by the approach but it was his father who was toying with the idea, he never wanted to play for Nigeria and was happy to distance himself. Dude should p**s off

Let's see how you will respond if Tammy turns out to be a 20-goal-a-season striker for Chelsea and gets courted by the top European clubs.
Its easy to do yanga now, just like it was easy for him two years ago.
Bottom line is football is a dog eat dog business.
Pride doesn't come into it when the chips are really down. When he scores the goal for SE that knocks Argentina out of the WC, you go fit contain yourself? :taunt:

Like someone said, make we siddon look for now.
21-year-olds are allowed to make wrong decisions like we all did - and nobody killed us.

This is a welcoming news. Tammy is a massive talent. He didn't get into Chelsea starting 11 by a fluke. He is an upgrade from the lanky Onuachu. I can't wait to see the prodigal son in GWG. The more, the merrier

He is a good striker who has made consistent progress over the last few years.

If he makes the switch he deservedly will be part of the SE.

Keep believing,If England call him for a single qualifier he’ll obviously accept the call for Queen and country and as that counts as a competitive game he’ll be ineligible to play for Nigeria,I can’t see him doing a u-turn now that he’s back with Chelsea and already played for England!

Of course, if England comes a-calling, he'll accept. Thats a no-brainer.
The point is if Naija calls him first, will he accept now he is a little older and wiser?

We all dey here nah, so make we dey look.
It's okay to be wrong.
No big deal for me.

When you classify most views different from yours as "stupid" you simply display a lack of ability to learn because you believe (and it is an unfounded belief) that you are a Fountain of Knowledge.
I am not sure this is true.
