As Osimhen learns his craft, he will realize there is much more to playing the #9 role than waiting to be served. He can use the fact that he is man marked consistently to force defenders out of position.

He doesnt always have to look to score.

He should go and study old prime Drogba or Eto tapes. Their movement off the ball was key to their success.

Good point, he had a decent half though, I like the combo where he ended up shooting wide. The boy's will to win and work ethic is something to behold!

His ability to control the ball and win battles in very tight physical spaces is what convinces me he will be a world class striker. You cannot teach that skill.

Osimhen needs to find ways to get touches on the ball and stay involved in play buildup. This is notwithstanding his brain dead teammates not feeding him.

Goodness, see how he controlled that bad ball into the box and setup his teammate, only for that player to kill a flock of birds wholesale.

His teammates are all selfish without an exception - he is the only that passes and does not demand the ball back the rest pass and demand the ball back and play all this wayward shots !!

One ( Yacin ) did his the crossbar sha in the first half

He is partly at fault. His positioning is not right. He is way too close to his markers. He needs to move deeper to draw them out of position, or run directly at them to create spaces behind him.

Playing off the ball is no easy skill to learn for a young striker.

Osimhen wins the ball in the middle of the field and forces one of his tormentors into a second yellow.
The kid is a handful, and he has hardly started mastering his craft.

In 2-3 years of consistent 1st team football,...lord have mercy!

Seven minutes to go and Lille is still 1 goal down. Victor brought down just outside the box results in a red card

Lille is such a young amateurish team. They are pressing too hard and committing to many self inflicted wounds.
That said, Osimhen needs to stay at Lille. This 1st team football he is playing every day is so so important to his development.

I wish Nacho could join him there instead not doing anything at Leicester

Valencia and their latin drama sef.....Anyway, honors even. 1-1

Osimhen is going to have to get used to being scouted and marked out of the game. The word is out.
Its now up to him to adapt.

Spot on Charlie. As much as I agree with the fact that Victor is a talent, he still has work to do with his movement and timely. You have IgHalo who uses most of movement and timing to be in the right place to score awkward goals. He still needs to learn off ball movement from Ighalo
