Former board member of Nigeria Football Federation John Fashanu has expressed his displeasure with the manner Gernot Rohr has worked over three years as the Super Eagles head coach

“I think Rohr has underachieved as the coach of Super Eagles. What has he achieved, what has he won? That team is certainly not good enough to dominate African Football.

We still have a lot of work to do to be the best in Africa. For now, we don’t have a team yet,” the former Wimbledon FC of England striker stated.

Footynaija.com.ng recently reported that John Fashanu believes Tammy Abraham made the right choice, snubbing Nigeria for England stating that England offers more Financial Benefits with Less stress.

Another day, another DELUSIONAL or comic statements made in reference to SE. Anyway, for those with amnesia. When Rohr took charge of SE, we were ranked 65th in the world, failed to Qualify for back to back ANC and almost all our starting 11 comprised of BACKWATER league players. 3 years later, he Qualified us for World cup, ANC and duly achieved his target of a Semi - final appearance. also, our boys are now at the top 5 leagues in the world (Midrated teams). in a sane environment that appreciate people, that's a huge progress made in few years and based on that trajectory, it is inevitable that his team will make Another progress in 3 years.

Although there are obviously better coaches than Rohr I highly doubt it the NFA can hire them even if they could afford them and of cause Olishe and Amunike are probably available but they are probably not going to take a pay cut just because they are Nigerians (Legends but won’t be treated that way),it’s not if but when Rohr leaves will there be a scramble by less worthy merchants and agents for the job?
The NFF shouldn’t stall on a decision as the World Cup qualifiers are up next and although planning is never a priority in Nigeria it’s important to start a campaign with some sort of stability!

Yep as soon as Nigeria stops qualifying to Afcons and World Cups all those complaining will pretend they never spoke out about the previous coach and start again These Nigerians don’t really care for progress they are in it for themselves so in a decades time we'll either be in the same position or worse

Yep and it’ll probably be after failure to qualify to a major tournament but they won’t dare admit their agenda wasn’t correct!
