Arsenal offer Leicester Xhaka and £40m for Ndidi
Arteta set to offer Leicester £40m plus Xhaka in exchange for Ndidi in his first act as Arsenal boss - See more at: https://bit.ly/35DHd4a
While I sympathise with Mikel Arteta as he has been handed a poisoned chalice, I would plead with him to turn his attention elsewhere. Ndidi is on a roll with Leicester, will be playing in the Uefa Champions League next season and may even be off to Barcelona.
Ndidi is currently two classes above Arsenal's level and has no business playing in a mid table team, that may likely be involved in a relegation dog fight. Leicvester City too will be dumb to accept the offer when they can get £100m for Ndidi in the summer from the likes of Barca, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Man City, etc.
For now, Ndidi, Osimhen and Chukwueze are the only Nigerian footballers on the verge of breaking into that elite class of world class players. We do not want to see his career blighted by him moving to a club where incessant losses will drain his confidence.

Re: Arsenal offer Leicester Xhaka and £40m for Ndidi
If this is true Leicester will ignore such an offer,Xhaka won’t will be a serious downgrade to anything they’ve already got (and I’m an Arsenal fan) Ndidi is too important for Leicester to let go in January.

Re: Arsenal offer Leicester Xhaka and £40m for Ndidi
Ndidi is staying in London/England for the foreseeable future... He is going to school there to get a degree in business. Its very unlikely he will drop his studies in England for a move to Barca. He may just prefer a move to one of the bigger English teams

Leicester fans rubbish Arsenal bid for Wilfred Ndidi
Leicester fans rubbish Arsenal's bid for Ndidi saying he only wears red socks and underwear - See more at: https://bit.ly/2Q60VPA
I think there will be a fans revolt if the Leicester board accept Arsenal's bid for Ndidi. Clearly the Leicester fans want to keep hold of him at least until the end of the season and for me, that is the right thing to do.
Hopefully, Ndidi will keep improving and by the end of the current campaign will establish himself as a genuine candidate to be considered a world class player like Patrick Viera of Emmanuel Petit. Then, he can consider a move to somewhere like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Man City or Liverpool.
Had Arsene Wenger still been Arsenal manager, a move to Arsenal would have been ideal but alas, we are in 2019 now, not 2004. Arsenal is yesterday's club and they hey day has long passed, so Ndidi going there today would be like developing a coal-based industrial programme.

NDIDI to Arsenal!!
[quote]Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta 'lining up £40m plus Granit Xhaka' bid for Leicester midfielder Wilfred Ndidi
Mikel Arteta is considering a remarkable player-plus-cash bid for Leicester midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, with Granit Xhaka potentially moving the other way.
Arteta is drawing up a shortlist of players to refresh his squad at Arsenal after being confirmed as manager last week.
And, according to The Guardian, Foxes midfielder Ndidi is one of his top targets./quote]

Guy please this is a valid rumour. You may not like Ayo's publication in which case a link from other reputable websites will do.
Therefore this thread remains open. Please see below. Cheers - Mod.
"Over at the Emirates, the Mikel Arteta feelgood factor is in full swing, the new Arsenal manager having identified the defence, midfield and forward positions as areas in need of addressing. Starting at the top, Bayer Leverkusen’s Kevin Volland has leaped into the top three or four of the Spaniard’s January targets, with a left foot almost going to be reported to be both sweet and cultured should the move come to fruition, potentially as a replacement for the disgruntled Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. For the central areas, the hope is that Leicester’s Wilfred Ndidi can be wooed to swap second place in the Premier League for 11th, with £40m and Granit Xhaka the honey-glazed carrots being dangled. With available funds likely to be dependent on outgoings, Ainsley Maitland-Niles has caught Arteta’s eye and could find himself stapled in as part of the backline for the rest of the season, though a busy summer is expected where the defence is concerned."

I'm pretty sure a Leicester City player can be convinced to join Arsenal. A payrise would be a given as almost is always the case in transfers but c'mon...ANC wrote:cchinukw wrote:Guy please this is a valid rumour. Re: NDIDI to Arsenal!!
Arsenal fans and management are unable to decipher reality from fiction. They're like a pussycat looking in the mirror and seeing a lion king. who in there right mind will give up CL for relegation battle? Instead of looking for players in teams below them or abroad na the best DM who's 23 and rising na im dem wan finish im career fighting relegation. Norwich, watford and burnley no get good DM? Tunda faya dem for Emirates. Soon Emirates sef will remove sponsorship and they'll be stuck with Southwest Airline or Air peace. oleee dem be.

Re: NDIDI to Arsenal!!
I think Ndidi should wait till the end of the season before deciding. That way he will see if Arteta is able to stabilize Arsenal and be able to assess if he will fit Arteta's playing style. It is also Arteta's first head coaching job. He could go the way of Henry or the way of Lampard or Gerrard.
