Rivers United accept Confederation Cup fate
There are indications that Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Rivers United have accepted their fate as to representing Nigeria in next season’s Total CAF Confederation Cup (TotalCAFCC), http://www.aclsports.com reports.
Port Harcourt based Rivers United have been at the centre of an obnoxious back-and-forth with both the League Management Company (LMC) organisers of the league and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) since the Points Per Game (PPG) table for last season was released.
After weeks of threats of fire and brimstone by the Rivers State government sponsored United, ACLSports sources learnt that the club have now accepted to play in the Confederation Cup and subsequently aborted their hardly conceivable trip to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

Jesus didn't die so we could have religion. He died so we could have a deep, intimate, personal relationship with God.

In my view, this was always going to be the case. Rivers United simply wanted to make a lot of noise. It was a big joke, the case they thought they had. Just a waste of everybody's time, if you ask me.
The difficulties of statistical thinking describes a puzzling limitation of our mind: our excessive confidence in what we believe we know, and our apparent inability to acknowledge the full extent of our ignorance and the uncertainty of the world we live in. We are prone to overestimate how much we understand about the world and to underestimate the role of chance in events -- Daniel Kahneman (2011), Winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics

But NFF erred in the application of the goal per game rule.
