Purity,

I know you cover the local scene deeply. Can you give us an update on the local scene -- transfers, expectations, emerging stars, youngsters about to break through, etc.

The average transfer in NPFL is around N1 - 2 million, with some clubs paying up to N3 million depending on the negotiations and duration of the contract.

In a rare case, Enyimba allowed Theophilus Afelokhai lto leave Enyimba for free, He is on N1.3m per month salary after tax at Rivers United.

Most of the deals, payment of transfer fees are agreed to be paid twice.

Which key transfers have taken place for the season?

Purity,

Please can you tell me if there would be any promotion or relegation this year in the curtailed NNL season?

No go-ahead from the Covid-19 FG team. It's likely delaying the announcement from the LMC. As soon covid team announces that football can resume, there will be a date for the new season to get underway.

Purity,

I thought things are virtually back to business as usual in Nigeria. What are the social restrictions that remain in place and how do those relate to the restrictions in sports circles?

Thank you sir, a real shame something wasn't worked out.

A lot of relatively forward looking teams down there.

Wow, you treated a Badminton story before an NNL one.

I am sure there are more NNL than Badminton fans but it's your video so not a criticism.

The one I'll be watching is Vincent Edafe who left Dakkada FC for Abia Warriors. Edafe was key to the Cinderella story that Dakkada FC were writing last season before things came to an abrupt end with the Covid situation.

Adamu Abubakar has also left Wikki Tourists to get a taste of continental football with Plateau Utd.
