Iwobi was awesome, although the opposition was weak. He was actually better offensively than when he is an out and out winger.

I see now why Lookman struggles on bigger teams. He is very talented but loses the ball too much. He could never play for a Mourinho or Guardiola until he sorts it out.

Adarabioyo will be a beast. He has everything.

Aina is poor going forward. Can't cross the ball to save his life. Defensively he is getting better and better.

Meanwhile another poor pk by Fullham. Dem cuss them?

I am not sure am feeling Adarabioyo, Lookman is a baller and had an off day but needs to overcome the loss of confidence from that penalty miss. But are they (Lookman and Adarabioyo) working on a FIFA switch. Interesting to have 4 potential 9ja players on the pitch at the same time.

Iwobi just might become another Victor Moses for Everton? Moses was having below average seasons as a winger for Chelsea (to the point we all concluded his career was as good as over), untill he was converted to a RWB and turned beast mode. Maybe Iwobi can finally reignite his undoubtedly massive talent that way... he just has to add more defensive steel to this game.

Iwobi played well as a WB because the position offers him the 2 things he doesn't get as much of as a winger or AM. Time and space! Iwobi is more dangerous when he has space to operate and time to make the right decision. Teams will adjust to him as a WB and start to close him out early, the same Iwobi will return. Unlike VM he doesn't have the strength or the lungs to play WB on a permenent basis.

If this is recognised and confirmed as a problem, then he might do well to hire a personal fitness coach out of his own pocket.
I know some players do this to improve their strength, stamina and ultimately their overall performance.

Aina is typically very good going forward and an excellent crosser of the ball. Actually I think he crosses better than any of our other fullbacks. Maybe it was just an off day. Defensively is where I've seen him struggle. Doesn't have the hustle or urgency defensively that a lot of top fullbacks have, and also seems a little slow sometimes closing down his man.

He had a rough day at the office today as a RWB vs Leeds before being replaced with Gomez.

He only played RWB for a few minutes before being subbed. Played most of the game at LWB and I thought he did well there, more defensive than previous game. By the time he moved to RWB he was already gassed so was rightly subbed

Na wa o! So no vitroil for Ancelotti? Or its only Mourinho that god will punish and thunder will fire for playing Mikel in Mikel's natural position? O ma se o! Who would have *thunk* it? Nigerians will be applauding a coach for playing an actualy No 10 as a left back and right back... Eziokwu!

Maurinho played Mikel as a DM from day 1 unlike Iwobi who has been around for years. Also, expectations for Iwobi are quite low compared to Mikel in 05 when we were expecting a world class AM to emerge. These days we're just happy to see iwobi getting any time at all. :thumb:

Why were you expecting a world class AM to emerge? Did you not watch the 2015 tournament? Where did SiaSia play Mikel? :?

P.s-- Mikel was a world class DM for years @ Chelsea.

Mikel played as a number 10 from day 1 for Nigeria to our detriment, Mourinho gave a us a very capable holding player that all Nigerian coaches refused to play in that role.

In the WYC, SiaSia didnt play Mikel as a 10.

But lets not derail this thread. This thread is about Nigerians celebrating that an actual number 10 who was an AM at Arsenal has been reduced to playing as a RB and LB at Everton! :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Only coach that played him in his right position won ANC and 2nd round WC.
