Otitokoro,
The problem here, though, is you seem to think the player is the problem. Have you considered the possibility that the coach may well be the problem?
Why keep inviting this player and then fail to design the very plays that have made him successful at his club? What is the point?
The Manager, Gernot Rohr, stated clearly that the SE will not change its style for a player. If that is the case, so why keep inviting Paul? In my view, this is the failure of the manager and not the player.
We have had a player like Onuachu in the past. His name was Victor Agali. Clumsy as they come with the ball at his feet but he excelled in the air. Guess what? Shuaibu Amodu made a successful use of this player by designing plays for him.
Why can't Rohr do the same. Is it beyond him?

A bit of a history lesson...
Between 2003 - 2005, a young man named Tosin Dosunmu scored 16 goals for KVC Westerlo and scored 18 goals for Germinal Beershot in the same Jupilar league, which Onuachu currently plays in.
Tosin Dosunmu won the Jupilar League top scorer award with Beershot and was third on the Jupilar scoring chart while at KVC Westerlo. On June 5th, 2004, he was invited for and won his first cap during Nigeria's WCQ match against Rwanda. He underwhelmed in that game and never got a follow on invite - in spite of being the highest Nigerian striker in Europe at the time. He played only ONCE for the SE - never given another chance to redeem himself.
Yet, in spite of the fact that Onuachu scored in his first game for Nigeria, he has subsequently under whelmed in his 9 follow on appearances since his debut. We continue to hear all manner of excuses for this young lad by his teaming fans, who conveniently discountenance the fact that the guy CANNOT hack it at the SE level and has demonstrated this repeatedly.
Onuachu is obviously important to KRC Genk, with the goals he has scored. He is NOT important to the SE - he was 4th in line in the SE strike force, behind Osimhen, Iheanacho and Musa. Yet, all the times he was fortunate enough to have come in as a sub, he has sucked. Ditto that for when he started. Going back to the Egypt game in which he scored in the first minute with the long range shot, he pretty much sucked for the remaining 87 mins in which he played before being subbed by Ighalo.
Let's be real here. His style of play does not map into what the SE need right now. This is not the first time that a decent club performer would struggle at the National team level. I mentioned Tosin Dosunmu earlier. Jonathan Akpoborie of VfB Stuttgart was another example. So also was Jonathan Obiku of Feyernood.
We wish Onuachu all the very best at KRC Genk, but Nigeria needs to move on without him

They have summarily dismissed Onuachu because they don't like his style of the league he plays in. The fact that he has 3 times as many goals as the anyone else doesn't matter. He's a basketball player to them.
