He had a great chance to open the scoring but he side footed as opposed to a hard shot.
He’s showed some good flashes but perhaps the quality of his surrounding support ain’t quite there.

Argh loses ball in his half and Dortmund equalizes with a venomous shot by Makoko, first Bundesliga goal - apparently youngest BL scorer...

Re: Awoniyi in action vs Dortmund on ESPN+
...good game from our boy, but it seems they play well against the best, on a better surface, with better staff and logistics than when the descend ANC matches and Nigeria FA.

Pioooom! Massive win for Berlin. Yuuuge!
Yes, Taiwo needs to improve like every SE player does but at this point he has donr enough to be invited to SE for the next game.
Welcome to SE Taiwo.

How would you perform if they moved your job to Ebute meta with no power, water and you had to walk to the 5th floor office because there's no elevator?mcal wrote:...good game from our boy, but it seems they play well against the best, on a better surface, with better staff and logistics than when the descend ANC matches and Nigeria FA.

Good game from Awoniyi against B. Dortmund today. He seems to have settled in well at Union Berlin and the coach seems to have confidence in him.
Not being settled all these years and all the loan moves hasn't really helped his cause. However, at Union, I believe he is beginning to show his vast potential, especially in one of the 3 best leagues in the world.
He still has some learning to do, especially with regards his finishing. He easily could have scored 10 goals this season, considering the many close chances he has had.
If he is able to work on his finishing, he could become a top goal scorer. Wishing the lad all the very best as he develops and fulfills his potential.

Our next game is not until March.
He has done enough to get on the radar but there's still plenty of time.

...no, he's 61. A white boy with full beards and announced as 19 yo is very well acceptable to us Africans, but a clean cut, clean face African/black youth is deemed not young but older.YUJAM wrote:No way Moukoko is 16.
Anyway, age does not discriminate on a superb technique from a difficult angle, a clean shot, and very close to the goal. Do it right it will go in.
