Knee jerk reaction. The season is not over and he will take some time to settle in after being out for a bit.

If he stayed away from that wasted Nigeria game (that many said should’ve been boycotted) he may not of not got a shoulder injury and he could’ve also spent the festive season in Naples instead of partying in Nigeria so that you can be more satisfied with his contribution to Napoli.

He was out of action for almost 3 months....just came back and is NOT fully fit.

That said, i was surprised he didnt get any minutes this weekend. His last 2 cameos havent been good either.

But we keep watching.

No need to play him when his team is up by 2 goals with 20mins left, tactics do have a roll to play in player selection. It's not a roll call.

He's a club record signing. You need to find minutes for him. That's the coaches job.

There is little doubt that Victor Osimhen has not brought the expected return on the huge sum invested by the club to attract his signature. Thus, in that sense, it was indeed a failed purchase. There should be no IFs or BUTs on that particular issue. However, the hope is that if he is fit and playing next season he will meet expectations. At least that is my hope.

Why do some people seek out failure just to put somebody down?

Here we have a 21yr old who has played in less than a third of the games in the first half of the season due to injury and covid. Now the know nothings are calling his acquisition but the club who believes in him and dropped a fortune a failure. What kind of mentality is that? Smdh, no wonder Nigeria is a mess. With such mentality who needs a sabateur.

you re too sensitive, and you lack comprehension. Once again the thread title states "A failed purchase this season key words are purchase and "season"

He was okay b4 the shoulder injury. Coronavirus after the injury and now struggling for match fitness.
He has been out for more than 2 months in half of a season played. Way too early to call.

Napoli are currently trailing by 2 goals to nil to Genoa and Osimhen isn't even starting... I know it's still too early to judge his form considering the circumstance of things (covid, injury etc)... but there's no reason why Osimhen shouldn't be starting this type of games.

Watching him play now. He sure misses a lot of chances. The OP might be speaking the truth. Bitter, but true.
Bushboy's bushmen : 1.Isaac Success 2. Terem Moffi 3. Victor Boniface 4. Samuel Omorodion. 5. Samson Tijani. 6. Rafiu Durosinmi.
Who will be next?
