I’m just stoked to see a Nigerian MF put a shot on frame from outside the box.

Is that Kasper Schmeichel that he scored against?

baller, the SE should just play a midfield trio of either Ndidi, Onyeka, Alhasssan, Onyedika and put Ìwọbi left or right. What l like about his game is he makes himself available for the ball and not just sit on his passes. Let me 4get Nwakali for now and follow his games hereon

Looks good on paper but who will create chances?

Anybody can create chances if the midfield is fluid and the SE midfield is not fluid. Iwobi can create from the wings anyway and there are other midfielders like Olawoyin, ifeanyi and Fisayo who are more attacking.

Ndidi is basking on old glory, players like Ifeanyi Matthew and Ibrahim Olawoyin are miles ahead of him in ball playing ability right now...I wish a really adventurous coach would try an Iwobi/Onyedika and Olawoyin midfield.

Unsuprised to see my boy doing well. I never doubted his abilities unlike Maceolodo4 who talked down on him while hyping useless Senegalese players who can't shoot properly just because they won a useless chan cup.

Goalgetter wrote: Mon Apr 08, 2024 7:39 am I’m not a coach but after seeing that Onyedika guys play in the recent Friendlies Perseiro’s judgement as a coach and his ability to judge and recognize real talent became very very questionable to me. Onyedika is the closest thing to Mikel - seems very cerebral with his plays, keeps things simple with the ball moving with simple precise touches - one touch and doesnt lose the ball and apparently can shoot based on club videos. How this guy didnt play a single second at AFCON with junks like Aribo getting minutes - even in the championship final game, when we needed serious ballers is just a massive crime. Perseiro sucks big time!
Im glad Pisserio didnt accept NFFS offer. His management of the team from the semi finals onwards left a lot to be desired. He had talent on the bench and if he didnt he is at fault for not inviting them. No way our midfield collapsed and he didn't find minutes for Onyedika

Back doing his thing vs Paok 2nd leg and they are leading 2 zip.
We really need to find a way for Onyedika, Yusuf, Ìwọbi and Ndidi/Onyeka in that ṢE midfield. One destroyer is really enough and with the other 3 you have guys that demands the ball and look forward not the usual sideways pass.

All 3 gives tenacity, ball handling skills, not afraid to mix it up and with Ìwọbi the killer pass is not far off. The SE really need selfless players.
