Will this justify calling Bameyi to the SE?
We all recall his invitation during some qualifiers, but what about this?

In this case, this guy has some kind of ‘exceptional’ record to examine and weigh against the elite professionals of their national team.
Nothing of the sort can be said of Bameyi.
He doesn’t even appear to have a club, amateur or otherwise.

Forget Bameyi case. The issue is much bigger.
In my view, Managers must look beyond where a player plays when making a decision to invite or not. In Nigeria's case, it is erven more acute given that socio-economic circumstances indicate that players do not make club choices based on how high ranked a club is. There are exceptional players outside the big leagues and we know that current state of scouting, anywhere in the world, is merely scratching the surface in a word where form flows and ebbs constantly. Those who understand that better have a wider dragnet in order to discover deserving talent. Call them up and let them compete in camp.
Bielsa believes he can make a difference given his own managerial pedigree and he is not enamored by names or leagues but knows talent when he sees it, regardless of where the talent resides.

We are still waiting to see Bameyi’s record. How many games played, against who, number of goals scored, number of assists etc.

Does Bamayi even play football? I think I play more football on average than him.
