Tactics for the game against the Lions...

Post by Mr Shows »

Now that the dye is cast and it is certain that we are up against our auld enemy. Let the debate now commence in terms of what tactics we need to deploy to win this game.

Both teams haven’t yet set the tournament alight and are both beginning to gather speed and momentum. The Lions are still yawning, just about ready to roar, whilst the Eagles are still pruning their wings getting set to soar.

IMO CCC has to start this game adopting the following formation

************* Jag*******************

Lawal****** Ekweme******* Okocha****** Utaka*

Udeze******okoronkwo*****Yobo****** George

**********Vincent************

If Agali shows up and Jag is not having much joy, CCC should sub Utaka, push Jag Wide and Let Agali get on the end of everything heading to the 18 yrd box.

We may have to sacrifice a bit of our flair to win this encounter.

Comrades what say thee?

Cheers

We are clearly the underdogs against Cameroun and that to me is how we should approach the game, any "gragra" on our part is totally uncalled for. We barely scrape through our qualification, even though Cameroun group is tougher than ours with 3 ex-champions whereas we are the only champion with two cup victories in our group, the Cameroun group has 2, three time winner and another one time winner.

We are the only team without full complement of all its registered players, so we are clearly the underdog and we should play as such!

Is a thing to which we blacks are wise.
Her bandage hides two festering sores
That once perhaps were eyes."

South Africa won the ANC in 1996.

Besides, all that is irrelevant. Cameroon made something of a pigs ear of their group yet still managed to finish top. Nigeria should tahe encouragement from the knowledge this Cameroonian team is far from impregnable.
