VIOLENCE, NORTH AFRICA and the ANC.

Post by Riche007 »

I dont know if this is an appropriate title for this thread but i'll edit it if there are any objections.
However, I just watched the Morocco/Algeria game. I saw the Tunisia/Sen game and also the Enyimba/Zam game. One thing that was common in all three was violence. The ref had to be protected immediately the game was over cos there was alot of tension. From fire works, to fighting..name it...ís it something peculiar with the North Africans to injure the visitors and disrupt the game when they are in danger of loosing a game or is it just a fan thing?
I remember in the case of a game in Nigeria (i think it's CAN2000)...the Nigerian fans rather punished the SE by throwing bottles at them rather than the visitors....Altho i dont condone such violence, but what must be done to curb it? If i'm to be fair, Egypt doesnt stand a chance of hosting the WC after the display about 3 months ago and Tunisia might end up shooting themselves in the foot if care isnt taken.

Violence in North Africa? No, never............
