CAMEROONIAN legend, Roger Milla who had predicted Cameroon’s continued dominance of Nigeria before the quarterfinal clash in Monastir Sunday, doffed his hat for the Super Eagles as they ran away 2-1 winners.
The legend who was visibly angry at the performance of the Lions in the match, said that Nigeria were better and played as a team, and thus deserved the victory.
He said he did not see any other team still in contention that could pose any threat to Nigeria’s journey to lifting the trophy in the final.
"I congratulate Nigeria for this victory because they played very well today. He castigated their players for exhibiting individual game rather than playing as a team and said they lacked character typical of Cameroonian team.
Cameroon’s coach Schafer also gave it to Nigeria and said the Super Eagles’ played a great game and overwhelmed his team. "I congratulate Nigeria for a great game," was his terse reaction after the match.
Meanwhile, more ex-Super Eagles’ player are trooping down in Tunisia to follow the team’s progress and chear their teammates.
Samson Siasia is the latest arrival in Tunisia and has swelled up the number to four after Stephen Keshi, Mike Emenalo and Efan Ekoku had arrived during the prelims and have been watching all Nigerian matches live.
