The Kanu Pass to Utaka Reminds Me of JJ's Pass v. Ireland

Post by Bombastic »

Kanu's pass to Utaka to score against Cameroon reminds me of JJ's (similarly defense-splitting) pass to JAG in the pre-world cup 2002 friendly versus Ireland. Okocha was slightly deeper in the opponent's half though, but JAG still had to outrun several defenders in order to convert.

JJ's pass to JAG against Ireland was indeed from deeper, but it just showed that JAG and JJ were on the same page...it was nice.....
