Igbobi my #$%,
Igbobi college won the principal cup in Lagos once when they beat Gregs. The Andrew Uwe led team beat Gregs in the final. Ahmed Tandor captained Gregs that year. Gregs, Finbarrs and Cms were the power houses in that pecking order. People should know what they are talking about before they start posting stuff.

Igbobi was good in the days of Tunde Martins.

Igbobi was known as the 'Mighty Jets' of the Lagos Principals Cup - always reaching the final but never winning.
From the 60s through to the 80s they were the perpetual wives of Finbarrs in particular - and that is coming from an Old Igbobian.

Tunde Martins of Igbobi College was a great footballer.

In Ibadan at least Methodist boys or Metho is the big boy. But its really an eyesore sometimes. Around 1991 I saw a game between Metho and Ibadan Grammar school and I just shake my head. The central defender for Metho cant be less than 30 yrs old playing with 16-18 yr olds. All the kids run away when he comes to the ball because of how physical he was. Ibadan Grammar school used older boys too maybe 2 -3 of them but they were guys that are max 21 yrs old back in school to retake WAEC. I know one that went to school by my house in Lagos and graduated only to pop up at SS1 at Ibadan Grammar school. The fight after matches too in Ibadan was bad with stones and UTCs out and everyone running helter skelter.
