The Garba Lawal Propaganda Continues!
Kickoff is now fully embroiled in the Garba Lawal propaganda.

I don't know who the guy's babalawo is, but he must be really powerful.
Also, nothing coming out of MLS indicates that the guy will be joining the Crew next season. Oya, KOC, didn't we already discuss that one here already?

Please get off Lawal's case. At least he "carries water" well for the team, unlike your boy Obodo who comes to the National team and starts playing as if he's Okocha. The man was criticized during the '96 Olympics as being without skillz, but he went to the WC in '98 and had a goal + assist (neither Okocha nor Kanu have a WC goal or assist). During the last ANC, Lawal scored a scorcher of a goal against Ghana to save our hides.
Now, Lawal isnt the most skilled person, but he does his job. We will play 11 Okochas when Senegal plays 11 Dioufs (then you guys will need an olympic size swimming pool)

I hope Lawal makes the final squad. He has never let anyone down and has scored some vital goals for the Eagles.

Clubless, and he's the best thing at training camp?....whatever.
That's right, I remember now, he saved us from getting a draw from a Black Star team that couldn't even score in a brothel full of working girls.well his rubbish saved us against Ghana at d last ANC remember

Garba is absolutely rubbish. This guy is synonymous with what has plagued the Eagles for a while - selections which are not based on merit. Because he is clubless, he should not have been invited to camp.
Garba is not even with the Columbus Crew!

YUJAM,
Give it a rest. Its over. Lawal is one of the best players in camp. You can argue that he should not have been invited in the first place but the coaches know more than we do. He was invited, full stop. he is proving the coaches right. Full stop again. And he is gonna make the squad..final full stop.

Sorry, Chief! Your boy does not have any legs to stand on.
I guess we will have to learn the hard way again! Garba Lawal is an epitome of everything that is wrong with the S Eagles - where clubless players actually play for the national team.

YUJAM,
Don't worry. Senegal surprised us last time. That's why you're talking. This ANC I would like us to meet them at the quarter finals so that El Diver Diouf can go home and swim early enough.
Seriously, considering that Garba is doing very well in camp, are you still saying that he should not be in the squad?. Knowing how reliable he is I would take him along and not necessarily start him. Defensively he is said to be a gem in camp. An alternative for Olofinjana and Obodo in the defensive midfield.
I already addressed the no club issue. Why did you cast a blind eye in the case of Taribo West(twice without a club in the past and without one now) and you chose to make that the biggest issue here. FYI even during the peak of Nigerian soccer glory, there were still players without clubs. If you need names holla.

That's just the way it is guyz.
You should be ashamed of yourself for referring to a player who has served our country well in those terms. How would you like some one referring to you as geminiGOAT?. Considering that you've never been useful for Nigeria, you should be doubly ashamed of yourself.

Just to set the record straight: Let me say I admire and adore all Naija internationals regardless of how illustrious their playing contributions to their country have been.
In the light of that, it'll be wrong for you to think I am castigating Garba's person as Garbage. The term is strictly and perjoratively used to describe Garba's game as it is right now.
I would not for the life of me called Lawal garbage, his person I mean. And ofcourse he's served his country in ways I could only imagine yet if he has any integrity he'll know he should retire from the national team.
This most recent invitation only stand to rubbish the great service he's done for the country. Real match situation is always very different form scrimmages where reports have indicated Lawals is doing well.
In real match situation his fitness shortcomings, due to clublessness for months, will surface and to the detriment of the team.
Again not Lawal but his game right now I think is less than desirable for the national team.
Chief I hope you are not offended. Feel free to disagree.
