I absolutely HATE .avi files, because they always need some proprietary decompressor. Why not use the industry standard mpeg files. I ALWAYS get the message: "Cannot play back the video stream: no suitable decompressor could be found"

I can't view these videos.

You are attempting to play back an AVI file that has an unsupported audio or video format.

AVI files can contain audio and video in many different formats. If the RealOne Player can play only a portion of the selected file, this warning is displayed and the supported portion of the file continues to play. The purpose of this warning is to notify you that only part of the requested file is playing back (for example, just the audio or just the video, but not both).

This normally happens when your system does not have the required codec installed to play back the audio or video portion of the file. (Codec stands for compression/decompression. A codec is a program that compresses a file to save space, then decompresses it for viewing.)

If you are having problems viewing the video portion of your file, it is most likely using the DIVX codec. Although other video codecs can cause the warning, DIVX is the most common.

To get the latest DIVX codec, please go to www.divx.com and download the latest DIVX application from their site. During the installation, you can choose to install only their codec (to process the video) if you wish.

If after installing the DIVX codec you still are not able to play both audio and video, contact the creators of the file and find out which codec they used and where it can be obtained.

Soccer / Hapoel TA drubs Betar 4-1 in Abuksis homecoming

By Asher Goldberg

Betar Jerusalem suffered its seventh away loss last night, losing to Hapoel Tel Aviv 4-1. Hapoel was led by Ibazito Ogabona who scored a hat trick. Betar is the only team this season not to record an away victory.

Before a near sell-out crowd, Yossi Abuksis demonstrated his essential role in reinvigorating Hapoel, a team that had played poorly in his absence, but was fresh and aggressive last night.

"The main reason for the victory is Yossi Abuksis," declared coach Dror Kashtan after the game. "Any further explanation is unnecessary. You saw the reason that he's here. The new system, with one player back [Abuksis] and three forward made the difference."

Indeed, in the 4th minute, Yossi Rosen, in his new position as forward midfielder, lofted a ball from the right side and Tal Chen, playing his second game of the season, headed it into the top of the net. Chen made Hapoel fans forget the absence of Shimon Gershon.

Betar was on the field for 92 minutes, but reaped only one moment of happiness. At the 7th minute, Maor Melikson sent the ball forward to Shlomi Arbeitman, and the fresh IDF recruit outmaneuvered goalkeeper Shavit Elimelech to slip the ball into the goal to tie the match 1-1.

From that point it was all downhill. At the 14th minute, Abuksis deftly passed the ball to Ogabona, who easily scored Hapoel's second goal. The third goal was quick to follow, just three minutes later. Again it was Abuksis feeding the Nigerian striker who drove a rocket that nearly ripped Betar's net.

Hapoel slowed down the pace in the second half, enabling Betar to show some signs of life.

But at the 53rd minute, Betar's Eliran Danin lost control of the ball, and Ogabona got the best of Jerusalem's goalkeeper Itzik Kornfein for his third of the night, bringing the score to 4-1.

"Hapoel Tel Aviv was better and the first to get to every ball," Betar's coach Eli Ohana said after the game." They deserved to win. There are no excuses."

Ashdod brings its hope to Hatikva

After seven winless outings, and with new coach Yossi Mizrahi, Ashdod SC will hope to turn its fortunes around tonight at Tel Aviv's Hatikva Quarter in a showdown with Bnei Yehuda (20:35 Channel 10).

"We have to change the team's way of thinking," Mizrahi said yesterday. "Ashdod will advance toward the top of the league. We have the tools to do that."

Ashdod's Haim Revivo had to leave practice early yesterday after twisting his ankle. A decision will be made this morning on whether he will be ready to play tonight. Itzik Zohar is likely to make his debut for Ashdod tonight, as is Blessing Kaku, recently acquired from Hapoel Be'er Sheva. Alon Hazan and Yossi Ophir will not be able to play due to penalties they have incurred.

"The game represents a turning point for us for moving into first place," Bnei Yehuda coach Nitzan Shirazi said yesterday.

Irit Siton also contributed to this report.

Just out of curiosity, how do Nigerians cope in Israel, amidst all these regular killings. Just a thought.

We are now celebrating mediocare in Nigeria, next, we see somebody feeding us with a report of a player scoring 6goals in a match in Luxenbough or Wales and should be invited into any of our National teams

Fatty, in that case none of the Enyimba players should be reckoned in the national team because we will be celebrating mediocrity..How do you compare the israeli league to Nigeria just out of curiousity?

If a player is good he will shine among the stars

And yet a few moments ago in another thread, you're calling for Chris Ohenhen - on trial at Bristol City - to get a call up? Hhhmmmm!
And who hear is saying he should get a SE invite? The man is doing well, simple as that. And the Israeli league is pretty good quality. Better than the NPL, thats for sure.

Israel, I believe can only be better than Nigerian league only in term of organisation not standard.
From my experience here in Belgium, I get to realise that only bench warmers and out of favour players like Kaku Blessing can go there to make money not for carrier again.
Apart from Aiyegbeni, no player from Naija via Israel has made it big. If we can be organised, no Naija players will think of going to Israel before storming Europe.

izibito ogbabuna will not stay in Israel long

Post by elhadji »

Izibito has it all. Two legged. Strong, tall, and robust with a decent turn of pace. He will not be in Israel long, and he will be one of our 22 squad members within a year and a half.

then we can banish the likes of Agali and Akwuegbu permanently from any mention in relation to the eagles.

Ofoje, any Naija player will want to go and play in Israel just like any Nigerians would want to travel to there to live believing they are going for Greener pasture not minding all the katakata. Brain drain has been the matter arising for a long time.

EagleWinged, I 'll never support his calling to the eagles, even if he is still playing regularly now, because when he was on top form, he never make Nigerian team. I am only pulling some legs.
