Super Eagles are set for their biggest pay day ever in a national team shirt after the players agreed a graduated bonus scheme with the NFA that could see each player earn as much as 43 000 US Dollars each should they go all the way to win land the African Nations Cup in Tunisia.
According to officials, each player will receive 6 000 Dollars for a win in the first round of the tournament where they are drawn against South Africa, Morocco and Benin.
Each player could therefore get as much as 18 000 Dollars even before a ball is kicked in the quarterfinal stage of the competition.
While, it was agreed that victory in the quarterfinal will earn a player 7 000 Dollars and 8 000 Dollars in the semis.
The Eagles biggest pay day will be in the final where they have been promised a whooping 10 000 Dollars should they go all the way to clinch the 24th edition of the Nations Cup on 14 February in Tunis.
Top NFA officials have told only www.kickoffnigeria.com that NFA scribe Taiwo Ogunjobi agreed the match bonus with skipper Austin 'Jay Jay' Okocha during his recent trip to Europe.
"It was very important that the issue of match bonuses for the players was ironed out in time for the championship so that there will not be any problems as has often been the case in the national team," an official said.

The question is when will the money be available after each match or when the tournament is over and they have been ousted for bickering over money!!!!!!!!!! Or like our women when the money was held up at the airport while they were being thrashed 6-0 by the US team.
Please no promises of Money only promises of timely payment. Leave all the money now with Chukwu to distribute after the matches and to show the boys these are not idle promises as in the past.
