Chukwujekwu, Onah return to FIFA list

World Football governing body, FIFA, has released the short lists of its top rated referees for the year with Calistus Chukwu Chukwujekwu, who was controversially dropped over a purported letter by referees association President, Jogo Doro Yabilsu, a colonel, making a glorious return.

The FIFA list, which was made available to Daily Independent, indicated that top rated referee, Emmanuel Onah, also retained his position on the list, as well as Alax Mana and Emmanuel Imiere.

In all, there were nine male referees listed by FIFA for 2004 and seven assistant male referees and two Futsal male referees.

Female referees listed are Bola Abidoye and Sekiteri Bolanle Celina. There four assistant female referees from Nigeria and one Futsal referee.

It's a pity that none of these refs will officiate in this years final again! Then again that's the price you pay for having such a good team!
