Signing Beckham was a really bad mistake

The problem with Real right now is that everybody is in denial: from president to director of sports to players to the fans.
The truth is that the team has suffered as a result of Beckham's signing (the club may have gained financially).
By using Beckham as a holding midfielder, Real affectively neutralized his qualities and undermined its own defense because he is not as good in that position as the person he replaced.
Even when one of the top defenders pointed this out he was fined.
People should not forget that Real players were also annoyed when Beckham was first signed because they could not understand what Perez was doing and they did not like the circus that came with it.
I also do not understand those who say Beckham has performed brilliantly. Yes, he has put in a tremendous amount of physical effort, but is he effective in that role? No. Did he strengthen that postion, comoared with Makelele? No. Is he doing what he knows best? No.
How many fre kicks has he score all season? Maybe 2 or 3. How many assists has he provided? Maybe about 6.
Compared with Manchester, where he was used effectively, he has not been effective at Real.
My suspicion is that Perez bought Beckham just to prevent Barcelona from getting him.
