Interesting Stat about Aiyegbeni. From Portsmouth's forum

"History shows that this club has had very few strikers like him. I do not know if there has ever been anyone like him before. What I do know is that Barcelona should erect a statue for him. Samuel was a fundamental player here in recent years and was key to all of the titles that the team won."

i just saw that cuz. More pies for Ayo.
AyoAkinfe,

come here and explain how a wastepipe like YAK has more goals than your precious Alan Smith, and is tied on goals with a 'superstar' like Hernan Crespo.
Evans Bipi, had declared to the press, “Why must [Governor Amaechi] be insulting my mother, my Jesus Christ on earth?”

Throw in the fact that his supporting cast is not as strong
as those surrounding the superstars Aiyegbeni has
outscored. The, the pie gets bigger!

Amazingly they actually seem to have formed a partnership - highly unlikely pair since on their own both seem to be headless chickens that no-other player can read !!
I think the Lua-Lua and Yak partnership could be very productive because it must be a nightmare for defenders - pace galore and one is tricky and the other powerful - pick your poison

Leeds tunnel feud

LEEDS stars were involved in an astonishing bust-up with each other during half-time of their 2-1 defeat to Portsmouth.

As the teams trudged off at the interval, the relegation-threatened United players began squabbling in the Elland Road tunnel.

Skipper Dominic Matteo, who missed the second half with a hip injury, was at the centre of the ruck.

No punches were thrown and stewards did not have to separate the players.

Yesterday’s loss leaves Eddie Gray’s side third bottom, three points adrift.

Boss Gray said: “I’ve been in football over 40 years and this is one of my biggest disappointments.”
"That Justice is a blind goddess
Is a thing to which we blacks are wise.
Her bandage hides two festering sores
That once perhaps were eyes."
