Tosin Dosunmu nominated for Ebony booth award in Belgium

Post by fatty »

Tosin Dosunmu is one of the five candidates nominated for the Ebony booth (prize for the best black players in Belgium).
Other nominees are Vincent Company, Emile Mpanza, Nbo Mpenza and Aruna Dindane. Apart from Dindane the other three are Belgian internationals.
Should Tosin Dosunmu be a Belgian, he would have been given a trial in the national team which is on the making because of his consistency all year round

It is a travesty of the highest order that this guy has not played for the SE yet and players like Nworgu, Kanu(yes Kanu) continue to get playing time.

Kompany is about to be capped by Belgium, if he hasnt already been capped.
Dosunmu has been consistent for a couple of years, always in among the goals. i think all these guys deserve a good quality setting to show what they have in the GWG. Not all those wastepipe friendlies against wastepipe teams.
Ijeh was woeful when i saw him against Jamaica, but Osaze wasnt anything to crow about in the Kenya friendly(prior to the last WC). I think these guys should be introduced in games featuring the real SE. Anybody can look hopeless when you play alongside subpar players. i should add, on subpar pitches.

Then how come he wasn't given a run in the Olympic team?...that is, I am assuming he is still within the age limit?

Not everyone can just break into the SE just like that without passing through the ranks.

The Olympic team always played their games in non-Fifa international date calendars. His club have always refused to release him.

I have seen Dosunmu play like three times and he's alright for the Belgian league but not serie A or la liga material. I have to say the bobo is better than Nworgu and other sundry players chukwu flood the SE with.
