Adidas officials meet Super Eagles
Super Eagles officials, led by Christian Chukwu, were locked in a meeting with representatives of Adidas, the official kitting company of Nigeria, in Faro, Portugal on Wednesday.
Adidas, which recently returned as Nigeria’s kitting company, was represented by two officials, Max van der Doel and Jimmy Galustoan.
The meeting was apparently to prepare for Nigeria’s list for the Nations Cup finals in Tunisia.
“Adidas is very happy to be back as Nigeria’s sponsor,” van der Doel told reporters here.
“We all succeded in 1994 in Tunisia with Adidas. We hope we’re going to succeed this time again. We hope that as the team returned to Faro like in 1994 will also mean success for Nigeria.”
The Eagles train with their Adidas kits here, but there are few exceptions who wear Nike kits.
“We cannot rule out things like this,” van der Doel said. “Adidas understands that some of the players have kitting contracts before we signed the deal with Nigeria.”
