D’Tigers beaten in opening match against Argentina

Post by ChrisMoC »

It was not the best of starts that Nigeria’s D’Tigers would have wished for at the Rio Olympic Games as they lost their opening Basketball match to Argentina by 94-66 points.

The Argentinian team was imperious in their shootings, executing good outside shots that saw them take out any sting in the comeback the Nigerians mustered.

There's that poor shooting from the outside again. Jee weez, you shouldn't take 25 3-pointers if you're only going to make a miserable 4  :!:

Cheers.

It was a very poor performance in my opinion.

Ike Diogu was very bad at times (had rebounds taken from him, indecisive at crucial points and just lazy defensively sometimes) while he was very good other times looking like he was the main man and can take us places.

Gbinije is a great pick up for us. He will have a career in the NBA. Outside shooting needs to improve.

Ekene Ibekwe and Ogide have to play more minutes if we are to do anything defensively.

Akognon and Alade Aminu were very bad. Horrible for these two yesterday. Gave us NOTHING.

Champ took too long to get going. We need him to hit shots early or we are toast.
Uzoh and Okoye were mediocre also.

We have A LOT of work to do if we are going to win one game talk less of medal in this event.

Why name the team after an animal that is not local to the country
