Idirssou and Olinga are surplus to requirements at the striker position. But good squad.
Bushboy's bushmen : 1.Isaac Success 2. Terem Moffi 3. Victor Boniface 4. Samuel Omorodion. 5. Samson Tijani. 6. Rafiu Durosinmi.
Who will be next?

stop recycling silliness...they may not win a game...not because they are old...but rather just lack of talent...which to some extent is very true...

Decent squad. The midfield looks strong. They hav a lot of good experienxed holdng midfielders. Not sure who their playmaker will be though. If Eto and Aboubakar form a solid partnership, they can trouble opposing defences.

Decent team, I don't know why everybody is hating. They have a chance especially if they can beat Mexico, who has failed to beat both Angola and South Africa in WC.

'90 Italy Cam v Maradona 1-0

On the surface, this looks to be the weakest team in the group. Again, Cameroon seems to be on a decline in terms of talent and style. It's a long way since the days of Milla, Makenaky, Co playing open, flowing, and skilled football. For whatever reason, Cameroonian teams in the past 15 years or so have looked like decathletes more than the fleet footed guys of the past.

I don't want to jinx Croatia, but I feel Cameroon will be our easiest game. We have our problems to be sure, especially a lack of speed at the back. But the team is more composed under a new coach. We have world class players in Modric, Mandzukic, and possibly an emerging Rakitic. If we come prepared...and you never know with us...I believe we'll take 2nd place.

Brazil will win this group hands down. Mexico will be interesting. They are an all day running team, skilled, and have some decent talent. They will bring their A game. Again, Croatia will win over them only if we bring our A game. If I had to bet all my money, here it is:

1) Brazil
2) Mexico
3) Croatia
4) Cameroon

Cheers, Mate

They will be lucky to gain a point. The only thing worth paying attention to is seeing how long it takes before Eto'o starts acting a fool.

This is a decent enough team, the Cameroonians are actually better equipped than we want to appreciate, people are mentioning Eto'o, but this team has A LOT of talent and it does not begin and end with Eto'o. I disagree that they need him at his best to get to the knockout stages. What they need is the tactical discipline more than anything else.

Just like CIV it comes down to how well they can gel them together

Mexico are overrated, so really....if the Cameroonians can play cohesively, I really don't see indomitable rivals for them, apart from Brazil.
Buhari, whose two terms thankfully ground to a constitutional halt in May. (One thing both democracies have going for them is that their leaders, however bad, have only two terms to swing the wrecking ball.) Under Buhari, growth per head also plunged to 0. An economic agenda drawn from the dusty pages of a 1970s protectionist handbook failed to do the trick. Despite Buhari’s promise to tame terrorism and criminality, violence flourished. Despite his reputation for probity, corruption swirled. FT

Tbite, you couldn't be more wrong about Mexico. Check their past few WCs. They consistently make the 2nd round. It takes a big team to knock them out.

They have some skilled players. A good balance of foreign and domestic based players. They always train to the highest fitness standards. They are as dogged and fighting all weather team, going toe to toe with anybody. The icing on the cake: they now have a coach whom they believe in.

Mexico the odds on #2 here.

Cheers, Mated

I am not talking about history, but current form!

Mexico has dipped a lot in the past year and remember, they are even lucky to be in the World Cu in the first place.

People will make the likes of Hernandez out to be greater than they really are and collectively they are disjointed of late. Hernandez on current form, is average at best and definitely not better than Eto'o on current form. And yes I have watched both players on CURRENT form.

but like I said it doesn't even begin and end with Eto'o, I watched Aboubakar for example and the player looks like a real gem.

I will be surprise if they make the second round.Imagine this team facing Spain in knockout?
The key is first game with Mexico but why still playing Webo,Idrissou?

I don't think they'll drop Edgar Salli... he's the only creative midfielder in the entire team. He should at least stay for diversity and options off the bench.

As for a weak squad:
Nicholas N'koulou - one of Africa's best defenders
Henri Bedimo - widely accepted as the best LB in the French league
Stephane Mbia - with a hell of a season with Valencia
Alex Song - still quality
Vincent Aboubakar - second only to Ibrahimovic in France
Joel Matip - one of the best defenders in Germany, if not the best
Not to mention players like Choupo Moting, Chedjou, Nyom, Kana-Biyik, Makoun all coming off a good season.

And Eto'o in the midst of it all.

In what world is this a weak squad??? Unbalanced yes, but not weak.

Cameroon is winning their group! You heard it here first! Those saying this is not a strong squad have no idea about what there´re talking about. The only thing to jeopardise this team will be the coachs´tactics. The 4-3-3 he usually plays is not the way to go. The team should be played compact with a 4-4-2 or a 4-5-1.

Mate you say Croatia has 3 World class players, well Cameroon has 3 world class players too in Eto, Aboubakar and Song. Again I repeat what might be the bane of the team will be the coachs line-up and tactics. We are balanced in all areas and this team might as well spring a surprise. I see 2 African teams playing against each other in the quarterfinals or Semifinals. Call me crazy but I believe and have faith. Line-up

Nyom.......Nkoulou.......Kana/Matip.......Bedimo
...............Song.........Enow
...............Mbia..........Makoun
.......................Eto
..................Aboubakar

OR
Nyom......Matip......Kana........Bedimo
................Song........Enow
Moukandjo............................Assou
................Eto........Aboubakar

This team is stronger than the 1990 team IMHO. If an external factor like strife is eliminated, there´re going all the way.
