Okay I am being entertained, finalky engkand gets the right coach and the right calibre of players. Watch the way Gerald just wacked the ball to an opponent, that is how the old england plays. The new england is patient on the ball with short passes. Watch Gerald and Johnson, they the ones still wacking ball upfront when a simple pass to someone near would have sufficed.

Only watched extended highlights this morning but the first thing I noticed was that the England players are a lot more comfortable on the ball than they ever have been as far as I can remember. Maybe becos its a young, fearless team; Maybe becos they are actually technically better.
But for anyone willing to drop any pre-conceptions, its pretty obvious that this team is a real technical upgrade on what we've seen in the past 30 years.
Maybe the influence of players from around the world in the EPL is finally beginning to pay off!

I've been saying it for a few seasons, that kid needs to learn the value of simplicity, Ramsey has learnt it. Wilshere will never achieve his potential if he doesn't learn it.
